About the Role:

The Medical Affairs Manager (MAM) is responsible for supporting the development of and executing the Embolization, Access, and Delivery (EAD) Medical Affairs strategy to support medical education, therapy adoption specific to clinical use, clinical data, and clinical impact for health care professionals (HCPs). The MAM will identify and collaborate with HCPs to amplify clinical data, improve educational efforts, promote the proper use of therapy, and provide strategic insight to BSC.

Additionally, this role provides medical and scientific therapeutic area expertise to cross-functional teams and ensures Medical Affairs deliverables are being met in support of the EAD portfolio product strategy.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Deliver on the Global Medical Plan to support data generation, knowledge exchange/data communication/education and ongoing scientific support for initiatives related to the therapy.
  • Collaborate across Medical, Clinical, and Health Economic & Market Access leads to support of evidence planning and evidence generation strategy.
  • Provide scientific insight on new publications, competitive trials, and participate in data analysis, interpretation, and dissemination.
  • Develop clinical evidence story and implement data dissemination strategy of the therapy with the field medical team.
  • Develop scientific content and medical materials to support data dissemination and medical education for external and internal stakeholders.
  • Support Commercial, Regulatory and Market Access departments with medical expertise input and review promotional materials to ensure scientific accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead the strategic planning of relevant symposia and sponsored educational events at major and regional conferences.
  • Support the Medical Education team in content development, aligning therapy objectives, and preparing faculty for BSC-sponsored events.
  • Identify and develop strategic relationship with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the industry, expert speakers, and well-known academicians to support evidence dissemination and medical education on technical and clinical insight with real-world applications.
  • Effectively communicate clinical data to physicians and internal stakeholders, requiring a comprehensive understating of trial design, data analysis, and clinical application of the data.
  • Ensure KOLs and podium influencers have the most up-to-date clinical data and pipeline information to enable fair and accurate representations of therapy clinical evidence at relevant scientific meetings and educational conferences.
  • Ensure physician activities and programs are compliantly conducted in accordance with Boston Scientific policies, applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree, ideally a post-graduate qualification or equivalent work experience demonstrating excellence in healthcare practice or research.
  • 5+ years relevant experience in industry medical or clinical role
  • Experience in interpreting and communicating clinical data with internal and external stakeholders and physicians
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships in the field
  • Therapeutic area experience within oncology is required
  • Good understanding of regulatory guidelines and Good Clinical Practices
  • Highly motivated, cooperative, timely and exhibit initiative and foresight to ensure collaboration across various functional units
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to focus on multiple issues at one time; ability to organize and direct diverse activities in a changing environment often under time pressure.
  • Demonstrate highest standards in terms of compliance
  • Demonstration of a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented Boston Scientific quality processes and procedures.
  • Ability to travel within North America and Internationally

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
