About the role:

Close the Gap is Boston Scientific’s health equity initiative, which aims to eliminate cardiovascular care disparities, helping to ensure all patients receive optimal cardiac care regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity or primary language.  This role will lead program development and implementation in current and future Close the Gap Emerging Market sites. In partnership with professional societies and patient advocacy groups, Close the Gap strives to improve access to cardiovascular care for all patients.

 Your responsibilities will include:

  • Create and maintain deployable educational programs to maximize successful and consistent expansion. 
  • Travel to targeted sites to assist with initial program set up and execution of educational events in partnership with the local sales force.
  • Strategically partner with health care providers, professional societies and patient advocacy groups to make an impact in this space.  Strive to take the program to a global level.
  • Prepare and deliver impactful presentations to Board members.
  • Run awareness campaigns through social media and other prevalent channels.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Hospital Administrators.
  • Represent the program in a way that allows hospitals and Physicians to get behind it and support it.
  • Manage coordination and prioritization of current and new strategic and local partner development requests/opportunities (ABC, WomenHeart, etc).
  • Partner with team to create program content and assist with the Close the Gap Integrated Communications and Diversifying Clinical Trials objectives. 
  • Understand and coach numerous divisions (such as IC, PI and CRM) on the changing healthcare environment and how to improve our partnership with key accounts to help them meet the needs of patients with advanced CV disease.
  • Manage coordination and prioritization of current and new strategic and local partner development requests/opportunities (healthcare professional societies, advocacy groups, community organizations, etc.).
  • Lead the creation and updating of educational materials for healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Project lead for transition (Lead customer relationship management (CRM) metrics reporting and partner with team on data entry requirements).
  • Manage team projects to ensure successful execution of CTG programs/deliverables such as Sales rep training events, team meetings, etc.
  • Lead monthly grant committee process for CTG grant funding decisions.
  • Manage processes and procedures relevant to CTG team operations. Management of complex budgets.
  • Responsible for inventory management (booths, educational literature and collaterals).
  • Communicates project status by preparing standard status reports, and by participating in departmental and customer project status update meetings.


What we’re looking for in you:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Advanced degree preferred
  • 10 + year’s experience in the healthcare industry, Public health experience a plus
  • Previous medical sales experience preferred
  • Previous experience leading a remote team. Strong leadership skills required.
  • Ability to manage complex budgets
  • Experience working directly with Physicians and hospital administration on educational events
  • Demonstrated successful program/project execution, strategic planning and analysis and clinical acumen.
  • Healthcare disparity experience
  • Experience partnering with Sales teams on driving  engagement with hospitals
  • Change management experience required
  • Ability to influence across all levels within a matrix organization
  • Ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines within a faced paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer Skills: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook 
  • Ability to travel 70%
