About the role: Become a Production Planner II for our Boston Scientific Commercial Planning team! Our production planners are responsible for planning the manufacture of finished goods and subassemblies for our global customers across the BSC plant network. This position provides the opportunity to own and improve production planning processes, tools and systems. Our production planners are passionate about continuous improvement and work closely with key partners and customers throughout the value stream. Use your knowledge, skills and passion to help improve the quality, cost and delivery of Boston Scientific medical devices for our customers and patients across the globe.
Boston Scientific production planning activities are focused on meeting customer service objectives while always assuring a continuous production flow through our Value Streams. In addition to supporting, monitoring and maintaining service level, production planners manage manufacturing schedules to balance Supply, Demand & Inventory to achieve overall materials management team objectives. Production planners participate on cross-functional teams to support and plan Commercial production across the Maple Grove site. This is a hybrid position.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Manage daily, weekly and monthly planning processes
- Manage net requirements, past due production orders, and past due planned orders
- Facilitate weekly execution management reviews
- Proactively identify and problem solve material shortages impacting the build plans
- Identify opportunities and execute projects to achieve service level, build plan and inventory objectives
- Facilitate manufacturing/ supply planning handshake during the Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SI&OP) Process
- Perform master data maintenance as required
- Provide inventory and recovery plan analysis as required
- Facilitate and monitor the completion of new product launch builds & commercialization
- Actively lead and participate in continuous improvement projects
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2-5+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing planning, inventory control, demand planning or supply chain function
- Knowledge and experience with CI (Continuous Improvement)
- Knowledge and experience with ERP software systems (SAP preferred) and advanced planning tools
- Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning SI&OP process
- Experience in planning vertically integrated manufacturing
- APICS/ASCM certification
- Excellent communication skills
