About the role:

Boston Scientific was recognized as a Glassdoor Best Place to Work in 2026, ranking No. 15 on the Top 100 list, reflecting the culture our employees experience every day.

Boston Scientific is accelerating enterprise AI adoption through strategic transformation programs spanning Commercial, Operations, Clinical, Finance, HR, Global Business Services (GBS) and other functions. As enterprise AI capabilities, learning infrastructure, leadership programs and organizational transformation methodologies are established, realizing business value requires a coordinated approach to activating these capabilities within each business transformation.

Reporting to the Director, AI Organization Transformation, the Principal, AI Enablement is a hands-on senior individual contributor responsible for connecting the organizational capabilities needed to translate AI investments into sustained adoption, new ways of working and measurable business value. This role serves as a strategic partner across Enterprise AI, Organizational Transformation, Enterprise Talent, functional learning organizations and business leadership.

This position extends beyond traditional change management by translating AI-enabled workflow and job redesign into the leadership, capability, behavior and operational changes required to realize value. The Principal owns the integrated activation strategy while coordinating delivery through enterprise and functional partners. Rather than directly owning enterprise learning products, organizational design, communications execution or functional training, this role integrates these capabilities into comprehensive, business-specific AI activation strategies and helps ensure successful implementation and sustainment.

The initial assignment will focus on Commercial AI, establishing a repeatable activation model that can scale across future enterprise AI programs. This is an opportunity to build a new enterprise capability, partner directly with senior leaders and shape how Boston Scientific enables AI-driven transformation to advance innovation and business performance.

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Massachusetts or Minnesota office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Own integrated AI activation strategies connecting leadership activation, organizational readiness, capability development, communications, adoption and value realization for priority AI transformation programs.
  • Serve as a core member of the Commercial AI Leadership Team, representing the people, capability, readiness and adoption workstream and acting as the primary Talent integration partner for program sponsors.
  • Partner with Commercial Leadership, Sales Operations, Enterprise AI, IT, AI Organization Transformation, HR, Enterprise Talent, functional learning teams, Communications and AI product teams to align organizational readiness with technology and workflow deployment.
  • Translate AI-enabled workflow, role and operating model changes into clear expectations for leadership, employee capabilities, learning needs, behaviors and business operating rhythms.
  • Lead activation efforts from readiness assessment through implementation and sustainment, embedding redesigned workflows, leadership expectations and AI-enabled ways of working into business operations.
  • Define role-specific AI capability strategies by identifying capability gaps, establishing requirements and partnering with functional learning organizations to develop practical, experience-based learning journeys.
  • Leverage enterprise AI learning, leadership, skills, communications, champion and readiness capabilities while identifying opportunities for business-specific interventions and maintaining accountability for capability strategy rather than learning content creation.
  • Develop leadership activation strategies that establish leader expectations, manager accountability, coaching approaches, reinforcement mechanisms, operating rhythms and adoption measures.
  • Activate integrated AI Champion and Change Champion networks, engaging early adopters and business influencers to validate use cases, gather feedback, identify barriers, reinforce adoption and share success stories.
  • Assess organizational and AI readiness, identify adoption risks and recommend targeted interventions to address barriers before they affect implementation or value realization.
  • Establish and monitor measures of leadership readiness, capability readiness, employee confidence, technology and workflow adoption, behavior change, business readiness and value realization.
  • Deliver executive reporting on activation progress, readiness, adoption, risks, decisions and recommended adjustments through the AI Executive Steering Committee and other governance forums.
  • Use adoption and performance data to continuously refine activation strategies, accelerate value realization and strengthen long-term sustainment.
  • Develop reusable activation playbooks, tools, measures and methodologies that can scale across future enterprise AI transformation programs.
  • Drive successful Commercial AI activation by embedding AI capabilities into priority workflows, enabling leaders and managers to reinforce new ways of working, strengthening employee confidence and capabilities, and establishing a repeatable model that contributes to measurable business value.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, organizational development, human resources, learning, communications or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of organizational transformation, capability development, leadership enablement, change management and technology adoption.
  • Ability to translate complex transformation strategies into clear executive recommendations, actionable business plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong executive presence, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to operate effectively without direct authority in a matrixed, global organization.
  • Ability to build new organizational capabilities in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while maintaining execution discipline and accountability.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business, organizational development, human resources, learning, communications or a related field.
  • Experience enabling enterprise AI, digital, data or technology transformation initiatives.
  • Experience supporting workflow, role, job or operating model redesign and translating changes into adoption and capability requirements.
