About this role: 

The Principle Digital Education Strategy Specialist will collaborate with the Leads for Physician in Training & Practice, Skill Training Specialist, Medical Affairs Manager, BSC EduCare COE to the digital education strategy and roadmaps. This role will serve as the lead in assessing the medical education priorities and programming, incl. the high-quality e-learning materials, while partnering with internal and external partners.

They will understand current learning technology capabilities and can identify emerging technology opportunities to engage our customers (e.g. use of learning management system, remote proctoring tools, virtual reality/augmented reality, apps, gamification, community boards).

They must demonstrate an ability to anticipate business needs to ensure that all digital education content and system are usable, reliable, and effective. They will need strong project management skills, forward thinking competence and a proven drive for continuous learning. They will be required to translate digital education needs into solutions and business results that increase efficiency, effectiveness and scale.

This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Professional Education.  

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborates with internal subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to:
    • Design and lead the development of Digital Learning content strategy and e - learning solutions for the Division.
    • Identify best digital training formats/ channels for each customer needs.
    • Create new and adapt existing courses for online / blended environment.
    • Work to identify external resources and vendors that specifically meet e-learning needs.
  • Project manage digital and e - learning projects with various teams and vendors.
  • Develop training standards and measurement tools to assess the learning outcome following each e-training.
  • Coordinates and continuously improves the process and outcome of the LMS and activities cross-functionally to create the best possible learning experience for the users.
  • Collaborates with internal EduCare COE and multi divisional Core team to generate best practices.
  • Manages the overall course structure in LMS and assets library.

What we’re looking for in you:

  • B.A./B.S. degree in business administration, computer information systems, educational technology or instructional design strongly preferred.
  • Experience as LMS Specialist developing comprehensive medical education courses and content using e-learning standards like SCORM and AICC.
  • 5+ years of managing learning platforms.
  • Experience with vendor management as well as working with a diverse group of customers (i.e. physician, clinical, marketing)
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects from start to finish with strong cross-functional stakeholder collaboration.
  • Proven working experience in digital learning course and content development.
  • Solid design background (multimedia, UX, video editing, e-learning, SCORM)
  • Solid knowledge of course development software
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Ability to:
    • Storyboard/create narrative scenarios.
    • Group/cluster content & content structure.
    • Edit & rework or update content.
    • Write effective instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts.
    • Maintain editorial calendars (quotes, deadlines, workflow, progress reports)

  • Requirement to travel 10%
