About the role:

Boston Scientific’s Interventional Cardiology Finance and Accounting Group is looking for a self-motivated, well organized, analytical, detail-oriented individual to assist in the monthly close accounting process. The individual should possess strong communication skills, the ability to work with cross-functional teams, and a proven ability to manage concurrent projects in a fast-paced, challenging environment and be eager to contribute to the success of the department and the company.
The Principal Financial Accountant will perform a variety of complex duties in general accounting such as analyzing accounts, preparing reports, and performing the monthly financial close, forecasting, and consolidation duties.

Your responsibilities will include:

•             Provides technical accounting expertise on topics such as revenue recognition and 
              reserves; participates in research, implementation, and monitoring activities
•             Establishes and communicates accounting policies by maintaining a thorough 
              understanding of GAAP and new accounting guidance as appropriate
•             Drives critical FP&A processes across divisional franchises groups with a focus on period     expense management
•             Partners with functional heads/project leads to provide financial insight and support to     drive business decisions
•             Compiles and analyzes financial information through preparation of reports, general     ledger entries, and journal entries
•             Assures financial accuracy by preparing internal management reporting and analysis
•             Performs month-end close processes
•             Maintains internal control envrionment and assists with regular SOX documentation and     testing requirements
•             Supports internal and external audits
•             Takes an active interest in seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and     standardizing processes



•             Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
•             Active CPA license
•             5+ years of progressive experience with a public accounting firm, or combined experience 
              with a large, complex multi-national company
•             ASC 606 Revenue Recognition experience
•             Detail oriented, self-starter, strong integrity, team player
•             Must have highly developed customer relationship and communication skills
•             Inquisitive and takes an active interest in opportunities to improve the efficiency of work
•             Proficiency in Microsoft office applications; SAP and Hyperion experience preferred
