Job Description:

This principal analyst will play a key role within the Finance Forward transformation team.  The individual will work along project leads to implement the respective Finance Forward initiatives and drive change to the finance organization. Examples of some initiatives that this role could work on include: FP&A global process harmonization, accounting process standardization, global supply chain financial topics, data & AI strategy, finance learning & development strategy, and/or tax process design. The individual may span multiple workstreams.

 

This position has a high degree of collaboration amongst the Finance Forward team, as well as interaction with corporate, divisional, and regional finance groups across the organization. The culture of the team is to work as a group and be flexible and willing to jump into the broader team responsibilities.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead elements of end-to-end process design and implementation for the respective initiative workstream
  • Perform activities delegated by initiative lead to document, design or implement priority processes
  • Coordinate with colleagues offline to obtain relevant inputs regarding necessary data or process flows in preparation for productive design workshops
  • Serve as change agent to promote Finance Forward by motivating teams in the development and adoption of global best practices
  • Collaborate with the cross-functional partners to define process standards; document success criteria and expected business outcomes
  • Facilitate workshops and influence stakeholders in the document, design or implement priority processes; clearly communicate expected changes with various stakeholder groups

 

 

Requirements:

Seven plus years of finance or accounting experience. Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting required (MBA or masters a plus).  Must be able to work well in a complex, highly matrixed worldwide corporation.

 

The successful candidate will need to exhibit the following skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement and apply end-to-end process thinking
  • Widely networked within BSC, fostering strong relationships and business partnerships
  • Effective communication skills with ability to hold discussions across levels and functions
  • Familiarity with change management, organizational development and business partnering concepts and practices
  • Adept strategic thinking and business understanding, with the capability to tie HR and people related strategies to business objectives
  • Ability to influence and align cross-functional partners 
  • Ability to translate strategies into action, including fluency with both systems and processes
  • Ability to work autonomously and act in a consultative role
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and navigate ambiguity
  • Passion for team member experience
  • Exceptional organizational & time management skills are crucial; environment is fast-paced and multi-tasking is essential
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
