Principal Global Supply Chain Planner, Magellan

About the Role:

At Boston Scientific, the Principal Global Supply Chain Planner, Magellan position is responsible for leading and supporting key planning activities within the organization. This includes involvement in scoping workshops, refining requirements, establishing batch determination rules, making data ownership decisions, and managing change impacts. The role also covers consulting, developing, and delivering training and communications related to new capabilities and change impacts, as well as monitoring training completion and supporting master data SAP training. Overall, the position serves as a central point for translating change impacts into actionable planning processes for the Global Supply Chain Planning team.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Participate in scoping workshops and requirements refinement for new initiatives.
  • Develop and implement batch determination rules and processes.
  • Make decisions on data ownership and change impact, including role assignments and mapping.
  • Identify and translate change impacts for Global Supply Chain Planning (GSCP).
  • Consult, develop, and deliver training and communications related to change impacts and new capabilities, including e-learning courses and learning tables.
  • Create and prepare phase communications and monitor training completion status.
  • Provide master data SAP training and consult on new capabilities.
  • Lead data cleansing and coordination for planning-owned data.
  • Own and coordinate testing, including feedback on design iterations and user test requirements.
  • Track inventory readiness and manage cutover communications.
  • Develop and execute contingency strategies and plans for pre- and post-go-live scenarios.
  • Provide hyper care support, including product prioritization (inbound/outbound).
  • Support end users with troubleshooting and Q&A.
  • Evaluate defects (user error vs. system issue), log system issues, and collaborate with logistics for batch determination troubleshooting.
  • Consult on defect prioritization, impact, and resolution inquiries.
  • Execute risk mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Manage project phases and actions for global supply chain planning.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for batch determination input into the system.
  • Monitor, escalate, and maintain master data governance (MDG).
  • Provide ongoing Q&A and VIP consulting for valuation and functional confirmations.

What We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Supply Chain, Analytics, Operations focus preferred. 
  • 10+ years’ experience in supply chain, materials management, manufacturing planning or inventory control function. Experience managing business projects.
  • Working experience with SAP and Rapid Response or an equivalent DRP, MPS, MRP, or ERP System.
  • Advanced PC skills utilizing such software programs as Teams, Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, problem solve and influence change. 
  • Medical Device Experience 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Global Supply Chain experience preferred.
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Master's degree preferred.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
