About the role:
Boston Scientific is seeking an accomplished strategic marketing automation professional to effectively advance BSC’s technical solutions and data-driven marketing capabilities on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. This role supports the WATCHMAN business unit and will collaborate closely with the Product Marketing and Customer Activation teams. As a Marketing Automation Manager specializing in Salesforce, you will play a crucial role in our marketing department, leveraging your expertise to streamline our automation processes, enhance lead generation efforts, and drive customer engagement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to incubate and deploy our Salesforce marketing automation capabilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Automation Use Case Requirements: Partners with internal business teams (Marketing, Communication, Sales, IT, Analytics) to define business processes and system requirements that feed into the marketing automation roadmap.
- Salesforce Marketing Automation: Utilize Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other Salesforce tools to solution and roadmap marketing campaigns, email marketing, lead nurturing, and customer segmentation.
- Project & Campaign Management: In partnership with several cross-functional teams, execute and optimize marketing campaigns, multi-channel journeys including multi-channel marketing (email & SMS) using Salesforce automation tools; owning and managing implementation projects with technical development teams.
- Data Segmentation: Partnering with business unit data analysts to identify data needs for activation logic to create data segmentation for effective targeting.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team, digital team, sales team, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless alignment between marketing automation efforts and overall business objectives.
- A/B Testing: Conduct A/B testing to optimize email content, subject lines, and landing pages for improved conversion rates.
- Analytics and Reporting: In partnership with cross-functional team, monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing actionable insights and making data-driven recommendations to improve marketing results. Provide Quarterly Business Review updates to leadership specific to quarterly email and SMS performance.
- Training and Documentation: Train team members on Salesforce marketing automation best practices and maintain documentation for marketing automation processes.
- Compliance: Ensure that all marketing efforts adhere to relevant regulations and best practices, such as GDPR
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Marketing, Business, or Computer Science or related fields
- Experience utilizing the Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketing Cloud Personalization, and Data Cloud for advanced marketing campaigns
- Solid understanding of data management and database concepts and familiarity with SQL language a plus. Comfort with CDL tools such as Snowflake a plus.
- Experience (3+ years) as a senior business analyst or similar role for Salesforce implementations
- Strong business case/user story development and implementation experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work well within a matrix organization and to influence teams to accomplish common goals and objectives; effective relationship building skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- 3+ years of digital marketing campaign planning, execution, and measurement experience
- Polished presentation skills; comfortable presenting data-driven results and storytelling in leadership forums.
- Ability to travel up to 5%
Preferred qualifications:
- 2+ years in medical device or healthcare industry
- Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Administrator, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Developer, or similar certifications are a plus
- Proven ability to influence without authority
- Strong collaboration skills

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
