About the role:
We are looking for a motivated, collaborative, and creative individual to join our high-performing Process Development team. This role will be focused on being a technician with the ability to be a build coordinator and general lab support the next generation WATCHMAN device. It will be a hands-on role for a high priority project in development and will have strong opportunity for future growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in prioritizing builds and communicating production/pilot staffing needs and status to extended team and pilot build supervisor
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating time on production lines, pilot lines, and across business units as applicable
- Communicating build progress and reports on build status on pilot line, and communicating issues and escalating with broader team
- Manages availability (physical and electronic transfer) of components/assemblies and associated documentation to the build location.
- Assist in maintaining line traceability and good manufacturing practices for documentation to maintain device integrity across multiple sites.
- Scrap collection and allocating scrap to cross functional team members.
- Assist in revising existing documents, processes, and/or methods to correct or improve processes/product
- Troubleshoot and suggest creative solutions to process and design issues.
- Use internal and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to obtain supplies and services.
- Perform basic statistical analysis of results.
- Train and provide technical support or direction to product builders and other technicians
- Assist in modifying existing and developing new tooling and fixtures
Required qualifications:
- 1 year of experience with a High School diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/work experience
Preferred qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in medical device manufacturing or development environment.
- Working knowledge of business systems: Windchill, MES, SAP, TRS, SWR, eSWR, Sterilization Work Requests
- Computer skills proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Solidworks
- Organization and communication skills
- Works well individually and in a team
- Working knowledge of production and process needs
- Working knowledge of the build processes
- Network of production area and business system contacts
- Working knowledge of implementing process improvements on a pilot or production floor
- Experience in maintaining lab and process equipment
