About the Role


This position works to assist R&D engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing to develop manufacturing processes from prototype designs.
  • Develop new production equipment with the support of internal and external vendors.
  • Develop concepts and accordingly construct prototypes/products from concepts.
  • Utilize basic mechanical drawing or CAD software to document prototypes and fixtures.
  • Qualify tooling and fixturing to ensure intended use.
  • Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to design and process concepts.
  • Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
  • Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
  • Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
  • May assist metrology department by coordinating the routine calibrations of gages used in process development.
  • May perform routine maintenance of some laboratory equipment, and support laboratory equipment strategy
  • Act as a resource and mentor to other employees.
  • Train and work with production staff to ensure proper implementation of processes.
  • Communicate project status to project teams.

 

What we're looking for in you:
 Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 years with AA degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience
