About the role:
The Product Manager III - Strategy and Analytics is responsible for managing the high-quality execution of key projects that inform business decisions and support marketing excellence within the Interventional Oncology (IO) franchise. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to perform analytics, market research, and strategic planning that drive product development and commercial success.
This individual plays a critical role in upstream marketing by identifying unmet needs, analyzing market and competitive trends, and influencing commercial input into the IO pipeline. The role also supports life cycle planning and commercialization strategies that strengthen Boston Scientific’s presence in the oncology space.

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Research and identify gaps in market and customer understanding; recommend and gather information to address these gaps.
- Identify and track major current and future competitors; analyze competitive activity and market trends for commercial planning.
- Analyze competitive intelligence, market reports, and 3rd-party data using BSC key business systems.
- Support commercial planning and launch readiness by researching markets, staying current on trends, and identifying unmet needs and customer insights.
- Assist in developing revenue forecasts, market models, and business opportunity valuations.
- Develop and implement a structured, data-driven approach to strategy development and business planning.
- Build strong relationships and collaborate with global and regional marketing and sales teams, Interventional Radiologists, and cross-functional stakeholders to gather insights that guide pipeline development.
- Partner with the VP of Marketing to shape commercialization strategies, influence product development, and optimize product profiles.
- Ensure commercial compliance through ongoing collaboration with the Corporate Compliance Lead.
- Understand clinical settings and environments relevant to pipeline products through research and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage external vendors and consultants to advance market research and knowledge for pipeline planning.
- Engage with healthcare professionals and attend congresses as needed to gain insights into current clinical practices.
- Contribute to high-impact marketing and business strategies by identifying market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Conduct market and product opportunity assessments, including for in-house innovations, acquisitions, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with brand marketing, R&D, clinical, business development, and sales to drive integrated strategies.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, quantitative reasoning, and excellent project execution.
Required qualifications:
- BA/BS required
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with analytics, statistics, market research, business strategy, or product marketing in healthcare.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze both structured and ambiguous datasets; able to synthesize data to craft compelling stories.
- Deep experience with financial and revenue modeling.
- Experience working with healthcare claims and coding.
- Proven track record of success as a cross-functional leader, with the ability to develop clinical expertise in medical devices.
- Strategic mindset with a high comfort level working in unknown markets.
- Demonstrated success supporting or managing complex projects.
- Excellent collaboration skills in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of market research methodologies, commercial data sources, and best practices.
- Demonstrated success in research and analysis capabilities.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s or MBA preferred in Data Science or Business Analytics.
- Experience or exposure to oncology disease states and markets.
- Willingness to take initiative beyond defined responsibilities when needed.
- High degree of independence, maturity, and ability to navigate ambiguity.
- High level of integrity and professionalism; fosters trust and respect in all interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to independently lead complex programs.
