About the role: This role is responsible for the design, facilitation and implementation of the professional education and training programs for Health Care Providers (HCPs) – focusing on Physicians in Practice & AHPs. This role is pivotal in advancing clinical excellence, procedural proficiency, and alignment with organizational goals through impactful education initiatives.

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local Arden Hills, MN office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

Strategic Instructional Development

  • Assessing and analyzing HCP educational and procedural training needs across specialties
  • Design and evolve a comprehensive training curriculum framework aligned with clinical trends and organizational priorities
  • Define learning objectives, content scope and delivery formats at a strategic level

Program Planning and lifecycle management

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of HCP education programs, including Pre-event strategy, live facilitation and post-event evaluation
  • Ensure programs are clinically relevant, engaging and outcome driven

Stakeholder Engagement and cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with external faculty and subject matter experts to co-develop and deliver high-impact educational content tailored to HCP needs
  • Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams—including Medical Safety, Medical Affairs, Clinical, and Operations—to align learning curricula with clinical priorities, safety standards, and strategic objectives
  • Foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure educational programs are clinically relevant, compliant, and effectively executed

Curriculum Design and Development

  • Oversee instructional design and content development for all education programs
  • Ensure materials are evidence-based, compliant, and tailored to diverse learning styles

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all educational activities adhere to regulatory standards, Health Care Compliance (HCC), legal requirements, and internal policies

Performance Analytics & Reporting

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success

 

Required Qualifications: 

Education & Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Health Education, Nursing, or a related field (required)

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in medical education, professional training, or clinical program development
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering HCP education programs, especially for physicians and AHPs
  • Experience working in medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare settings
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Medical Affairs, Clinical, Regulatory, and Operations
  • Prior engagement with KOLs and external faculty for content co-development and program delivery

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and curriculum development
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to analyze data and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for educational impact

Technology & Tools

  • Comfortable with data analytics tools for tracking program effectiveness
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel for content and reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

Education & Credentials

  • Advanced degree (e.g., master’s in health education, Public Health, Clinical Sciences, or MBA) strongly preferred
  • Certification in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or Medical Education is a plus

Experience:

  • Cardiovascular, peripheral, and/or interventional experience preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with compliance standards including HCC, regulatory, and legal guidelines in healthcare education

Technology & Tools

  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and virtual training platforms

 

 

Will include travel (35%) to scientific conferences, hospitals, and/or other BSC facilities

  • Must be able to lift and move large pieces of equipment

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
