We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives focused on equipment engineering and technology development. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage complex projects across multiple functions while driving innovation and operational excellence.
Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include:
● Leadership & collaboration
• Provide strong leadership across diverse functions and foster effective communication at all organizational levels.
• Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to ensure alignment and project success.
● Strategic engagement
• Partner with Process Development and Operations to shape strategic direction and advance new technology initiatives.
• Influence and coordinate activities related to equipment engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with New Product Development teams on key equipment and line development initiatives.
● Program & project management
• Develop and manage high-level project plans, timelines, and budgets for multiple concurrent projects.
• Establish milestones, monitor adherence to master schedules, and resolve issues impacting progress.
• Apply risk management strategies to identify, anticipate, and mitigate technical and business risks.
● Technical oversight
• Lead equipment development teams supporting New Product Development, Technology Development, and Operations programs.
• Participate in feasibility assessments, prototyping, and risk evaluation activities.
• Advise on equipment selection, line design, and process controls to ensure robust, efficient, and compliant solutions.
• Consult with internal and external experts to leverage organizational equipment knowledge and experience.
• Guide SAT, FAT, and qualification activities.
● Vendor & stakeholder management
• Collaborate with external vendors to deliver equipment and technology solutions that meet project requirements.
• Provide timely and transparent communication to site leadership and stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership as needed.
● Team leadership
• Delegate tasks based on skill level and project risk, ensuring accountability and timely completion.
• Resolve conflicts and escalate barriers to maintain project momentum.
• Influence key decisions, facilitate risk retirement, and ensure alignment with project and operational goals.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 7 years' experience, or Master’s degree with minimum of 5 years' experience
● Self-starter with the ability to work independently
● Demonstrated excellence in data analysis, project planning, and execution
● Proven experience in program or project management within engineering or technology development environments
● Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across functions and sites
● Expertise in risk management, budgeting, and resource allocation
● Excellent communication and presentation skills
● Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight timelines
Preferred qualifications:
● PMP certification
● Strong organization, execution, and communication skills
● Technical experience in machine design or process development
Quality system requirements:
● In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures
● Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy
● Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System
