The Quality Engineer II will provide engineering support at Boston Scientific's Weaver Lake campus in Maple Grove, Minnesota, within the Manufacturing, Packaging, and Chemistries team, ensuring the delivery of the highest-quality products to our patients.
In this fast-paced, dynamic environment, the Quality Engineer II will support multiple manufacturing processes, partnering cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering and Production teams to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate is comfortable collaborating with internal customers and suppliers while providing quality leadership to production teams.
Work model, sponsorship:
This position follows an on-site work model and requires employees to work from Boston Scientific's Weaver Lake campus in Maple Grove, Minnesota. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identify and implement effective process control systems to support the development, qualification and ongoing manufacturing of products that meet or exceed internal and external requirements.
- Lead the implementation of quality assurances, process controls and CAPA systems designed to meet or exceed internal and external requirements.
- Serve as an effective leader or team member in supporting quality disciplines, decisions and best practices.
- Apply systematic problem-solving methodologies to identify, prioritize, communicate and resolve quality issues.
- Support the development and execution of streamlined business systems that effectively identify and resolve quality issues.
- Foster an inclusive team environment while supporting quality disciplines, decisions and best practices.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a regulated industry.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Experience in the medical device industry.
- Experience with manufacturing or process engineering, CAPA, risk management or supplier quality.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques, problem-solving methodologies and statistical analysis tools, including Excel and Minitab.
- Experience managing multiple projects across a variety of organizational functions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work successfully with minimal supervision.
