Sales Operations Director, Interventional Cardiology


About the role:
The Director of Sales Operations is responsible for creating and implementing best in industry selling strategies for sales force optimization, territory alignment, and sales compensation programs while using the power of technology and data analytics.

This role spans across three dynamic product lines, each at different stages of growth. Critical to success is working with senior sales leadership to identify ways to maximize profitable growth and unleash Boston Scientific’s full commercial potential.  A winning spirit is rooted in the Boston Scientific culture, where new and creative thought process to double growth is encouraged and expected.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Data Analytics: The ability to use data to influence and drive business decisions.
    • Provide leadership on commercial strategy and key focus areas for growth.
    • Recommend and implement the sales quota across multiple territories.
    • Provide direction on overall selling budget and headcount.
    • Define and implement the sales compensation strategy and sales commissions.
    • Recommend new data sources or approaches to drive growth.
  • Talent Management: The ability to motivate a team to achieve their highest potential.
    • Hire, develop and retain a world class sales operations team of 20+ professionals.
    • Develop and communicate department vision.
    • Demonstrate the company values.
    • Foster a diverse workplace where individuals contribute at their full potential.
  • Influence Management: The ability to work across reporting lines to drive alignment.
    • Ability to artfully challenge ideas to drive the organization forward.
    • Partner with multiple stakeholders inside and outside of the selling organization.
    • Ability to have trustworthy relationships within the IC selling organization.
    • Develop strong relationships with the field sales management team.
  • Project Management: The ability to proactively manage projects and predict challenges.
    • Provide field sales management with timely and accurate reporting.
    • Set processes to manage monthly and quarterly deadlines.
    • Implement timely internal communication strategy for field sales teams.
    • Optimize existing processes through appropriate use of technology.
    • Implement new processes and tools for the selling organization.

What we’re looking for in you: 
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years commercial experience in Sales Operations, Marketing or Finance.
  • Proven success in leading and building teamwork across the global enterprise.
  • Superior program management, organizational and change management experience.
  • Vision and leadership skills required to drive change across a commercial sales organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA.
  • Medical Device or prior Boston Scientific experience.
  • Direct Field Sales experience in sales management.
