About the Role
Directs the sales training and development organization, strategies and programs to support the business needs of the sales organization. The Sales Training Leader will lead the design, development, creation, implementation, and evaluation of training programs for new and existing field personnel to ensure the maximum effectiveness of the sales effort. Develops short and long-term budget plans and manages budget to approved plans. Provides performance management, coaching and career development support for department management and employees.

Your Responsibilities include:

  • Assesses training needs for sales organization.
    Designs and implements training programs for US Based Sales force. Will also be available for global needs.
  • Designs and implements commercial development selling programs outside of product for 300-500 sales personnel in various role types.
  • Designs and implements advanced selling programs; focuses on developing sales teams skill set on negotiating to new stakeholders for the Hospital Customer and Non- Hospital Customer.
  • Designs and implements best in class technology communication channels to deliver world class training.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing Directors to maintain knowledge of the industry and the competition to modify and prioritize sales training strategies, communication channels and message delivery.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing Directors on various strategic projects as needed.
  • Work with Sales Directors, Region Managers and Strategic Business Development Managers to coordinate Sales Training team field assignments for Hospital and Non - Hospital training.
  • Assists with training needs for personnel within other departments and divisions of BSC
  • Defines field sales plan allocation and maintenance processes.
  • Provides direction in setting travel and expense budgets and guidelines.
  • Optimizes existing processes through appropriate use of technology.
  • Provides field sales management with reporting and mechanisms relative to field sales personnel performance graduating from training program.
  • Supports divisional aspects GPO and IDN sales negotiations through price modeling, trending and comparison.
  • Assists in setting long term information technology goals for the selling organization.
  • Designs and implements a performance scorecard as well as analyzes performance of sales.
  • Prepares reports on progress of personnel under direct or indirect supervision during training periods.
  • Continually studies and develops skills for attaining better teaching and training methods. Sets up and maintains training equipment and facilities as appropriate.
  • Keeps current of new developments within industry as it pertains to Sales Training within the field.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

What we are looking for in you:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree desired, with a minimum of 7 -10 years of successful Sales Training management experience and documented success in sales force or other related industry.  
  • Must possess the ability to lead change in a complex environment.
  • Must possess the ability to determine and set direction and follow through on that direction. Must possess the ability to engage customers at all levels in an account and be proficient in interacting at the CEO/CFO level.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills necessary.
