About the role:
In this role, you will support and create accurate, compelling, and timely clinical and scientific content to maximize the understanding and amplification of clinical evidence in support of BSC therapies. Additionally, you will serve as the clinical content expert for key physician customers, the medical community, leadership societies, and BSC internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, disseminate, and amplify scientific clinical content in various communication vehicles to ensure appropriate evaluation and presentation of data, interpretation, and alignment with business objectives.
- Drive evidence planning, identify gaps and opportunities for compelling evidence for BSC products and therapies. Collaborate with clinical, marketing, R&D, and other functions to identify solutions to the evidence gaps.
- Develop educational content for medical education programs and external speaker requests.
- Create agendas for major meeting symposia, develop content, and prepare physicians as needed.
- Maintain a high level of expertise in data pertaining to all marketed and pipeline products and stay updated on current data developments in relevant fields.
- Attend scientific conferences and programs in relevant therapeutic areas to maintain knowledge and stay updated on competitive data. Travel to scientific conferences and other meetings within and outside the U.S.
- Identify sessions of interest at conferences, cover these sessions, and prepare summarized scientific read-outs to be shared with leadership and the broader organization.
- Interact with marketing, clinical, and other groups outside Scientific/Medical Affairs to ensure clinical data are accurately represented in external materials.
- Communicate and support scientific presentations with physician key opinion leaders.
- Lead and present findings from scientific publications at journal clubs and other forums.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop and maintain current presentation materials and plans for fulfilling evidence needs. Ensure all content is up-to-date and relevant to the target audience.
- Industry Monitoring: Stay updated on industry data releases and activities to identify the clinical and educational needs of physicians and healthcare systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface with a wide variety of cross-functional teams to assess the clinical data landscape, identify gaps and opportunities, and provide educational recommendations to enhance or amplify therapy effectiveness within the clinical community.
- Scientific Expertise: Develop and maintain a high level of expertise in data pertaining to all marketed and pipeline products, as well as a solid knowledge base of current data developments in relevant fields of assigned technologies.
- Conference Participation: Attend scientific conferences and programs in relevant therapeutic areas to maintain knowledge and be updated on competitive data being released. Travel to scientific conferences and other meetings within and outside the U.S.
- Session Coverage: Identify sessions of interest at conferences, cover these sessions, and prepare summarized scientific read-outs to be shared with leadership and the broader organization.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Interact with marketing, clinical, and other groups outside Scientific/Medical Affairs to ensure clinical data are represented accurately in any materials used externally.
- KOL Engagement: Interact with physician key opinion leaders to communicate and support scientific presentations.
- Journal Clubs: Lead and present findings from scientific publications at journal clubs and other forums.
Travel:
40-50% of time, including overnight stays.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Master's, MD, or PhD degree related to Biomedical Sciences (e.g., Biomedical Engineering, Biology, etc.)
- Knowledge of clinical publications and concepts associated with Carotid, gained through direct or comparable relevant experience in a therapeutic area; scientific or clinical setting is acceptable.
- Ability to assess and critique study results with a working knowledge of clinical research processes, study designs, and statistical methods.
- Strategic thinking with an ability to synthesize clinical or bench data, diverse information, and multiple points of view.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's, MD, or PhD degree related to Biomedical Sciences (e.g., Biomedical Engineering, Biology, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience in a related function (medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology) such as clinical, research, marketing, medical affairs, or product development.
- Demonstrated experience and strength in presenting complex information to diverse audiences, including scientific conferences, sponsored symposia, and internal presentations.
- Proven track record of providing excellent external customer service and customer relationship management.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in creating PowerPoint presentations.
- Ability to manage time and priorities with diverse responsibilities and multiple stakeholders.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
