About the role:
The Senior Director, Clinical Affairs – ICTx oversees shared Clinical Affairs services and clinical trial operations across the ICTx business unit. The incumbent manages multidisciplinary teams, including Biostatistics, Scientific Communication, Project Management, and study metrics and provides direction to leaders responsible for strategic evidence initiatives and portfolio planning. The position ensures clinical programs are executed in alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational standards, while coordinating with franchise and global clinical leadership to support cross-functional integration and evidence generation.
Work mode:
This is a hybrid position in the office for a minimum of three days per week at our Maple Grove, MN or Marlborough, MA locations.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead shared Clinical Affairs services across ICTx, optimizing processes, harmonizing operations, and aligning resources to support strategic goals.
- Collaborate with franchise leads to ensure clinical support meets both strategic and operational needs.
- Oversee core Clinical Operations functions including biostatistics, scientific communications, project management, and study analytics.
- Establish and manage performance frameworks (KPIs/KQIs) to monitor quality, efficiency, and service delivery.
- Serve as the operational liaison for ICTx Clinical in cross-functional initiatives with global and corporate clinical teams.
- Develop scalable resourcing strategies to ensure consistent support for clinical trial execution.
- Drive continuous improvement of operational tools, processes, and technology solutions.
- Foster a high-performance, inclusive culture through coaching, talent development, and leadership.
- Build strategic partnerships across business units and geographies to advance clinical innovation.
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies and global regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EU MDR, PMDA)
Required qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field
- Minimum 15 years of clinical trial operations and strategy experience in medical devices or interventional cardiology
- Minimum 8 years of leadership experience managing cross-functional teams
- Ability to travel domestically upto 30%
- Proven success in executing clinical trial programs aligned with strategic business goals
- Strong knowledge of clinical operations, project management, and compliance standards
- Demonstrated financial acumen and experience managing departmental budgets
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive innovation in dynamic environments
Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced degree (e.g., MS, PhD) in a scientific or technical discipline
- Proven expertise in ICH/GCP guidelines and device-driven clinical trials (FIH, feasibility, Phase II- IV)
- Proven experience with global regulatory submissions (FDA, EU MDR, PMDA, NMPA)
- Strategic mindset with ability to influence stakeholders across functions and geographies
