With access to the latest tools, information and training, we’ll help you in advancing your skills and career. Here, you’ll be supported in progressing – whatever your ambitions.

About the role:
Boston Scientific's Cardiology Marketing and Digital Enablement (CMDE) team is growing and is looking for a seasoned Senior Experience Architect to champion excellent user experience for our digital properties. Our mission is to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet evolving user needs and drive business growth.

As a Senior Experience Architect, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our products from conception to delivery—not just as a digital product designer, but as a systems thinker who understands how digital solutions fit into a broader ecosystem. This includes navigating manual workflows, complex organizational roles, foundational tools like Salesforce, and a network of interconnected processes. You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that the experiences we design are not only user-centered and high-performing, but also context-aware and scalable within the operational landscape. A successful candidate will bring a strategic mindset, experience shaping holistic journeys across platforms and touchpoints, and a strong eye toward change management—ensuring that the solutions we build are embraced, adopted, and impactful across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead end-to-end journey mapping initiatives, collaborating with product managers to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in the user experience.
  • Collaborate with the business to define the problem space and articulate experience goals for the users.
  • Use service design principles to understand the ecosystem across patients, primary care physicians, general cardiologists, BSC internal service teams, and other digital platforms to deeply understand patient referral pathways within Cardiology.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research (interviews, usability testing) for both internal stakeholders and external audiences and synthesize into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Visualize complex experiences and systems to drive clarity in ambiguous strategic situations
  • Develop flow diagrams, service blueprints, and wireframes that bring strategy to life for both web and internal tools.
  • Collaborate with product teams to produce low and high-fidelity prototypes and wireframes to communicate design concepts effectively.
  • Facilitate design thinking workshops and brainstorming sessions to generate innovative solutions and achieve stakeholder alignment.
  • Create intuitive user interface designs and user experience flows that enhance product usability and engagement.

Required qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in digital product design, UX strategy, or service design, with a demonstrated ability to deliver high-impact user experiences across complex ecosystems.
  • Proven track record of mapping and optimizing end-to-end user journeys, particularly in cross-functional environments with multiple user types and workflows.
  • Deep experience in systems thinking—demonstrating the ability to understand and design for products within larger operational and technical ecosystems, including manual processes and enterprise software like Salesforce.
  • Strong proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including user interviews, usability testing, and data synthesis into actionable insights.
  • Skilled in producing flow diagrams, service blueprints, wireframes, and prototypes using tools such as Figma or equivalent.
  • Excellent ability to visualize complex processes and systems, driving clarity in ambiguous or undefined problem spaces.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops and co-creation sessions to align stakeholders and collaboratively define user-centered solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience designing and executing for both internal-facing tools and external web products across healthcare or similarly regulated industries.
  • Strong organizational awareness and sensitivity to change management needs, with an ability to help teams prepare for, adopt, and sustain new tools and processes.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Background in healthcare, life sciences, or complex enterprise environments with multiple stakeholder types.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce ecosystems and their integration into digital product experiences.
  • Experience using service design methodologies to inform strategic product direction.
  • Knowledge of journey orchestration and long-term product lifecycle thinking.
  • Exposure to agile, lean UX, and cross-functional team environments.
