As part of the Global Enterprise Excellence team, the Senior Manager, Global Value Improvement partners with global stakeholders to identify and deliver prioritized enterprise-wide value improvement initiatives. This role leads teams in addressing complex, cross-functional challenges and executing high-impact projects that drive sustainable operating margin improvements.

 

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering measurable business results, strong executive presence, exceptional stakeholder management capabilities and excellent communication skills. This individual will influence senior leaders across the enterprise and help shape strategic value improvement programs that support Boston Scientific's long-term financial objectives.

 

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in their local Boston Scientific office at least three days per week. This position may be based in Maple Grove, Minnesota; Arden Hills, Minnesota; Marlborough, Massachusetts; Valencia, California; or Ireland. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

● Lead enterprise-wide projects to achieve targeted annual value improvement rates while improving business outcomes, enhancing productivity and leveraging digital solutions to deliver measurable results; communicate progress to executive stakeholders and key decision-makers.

● Partner with executive stakeholders to define value targets, shape multiyear cost optimization roadmaps and ensure rigorous, on-time program delivery.

● Collaborate with leaders across the organization to build a robust pipeline of initiatives that deliver cash generation, productivity improvements and Value Improvement Projects (VIPs) supporting long-range operating margin goals and top-quartile variable spend performance.

● Utilize structured governance, data-driven decision-making and change management expertise to accelerate performance, eliminate inefficiencies and institutionalize continuous improvement.

● Engage stakeholders to identify and implement continuous improvement strategies while fostering a culture of ongoing process enhancement through best practices, methodologies and tools.

● Build and sustain a strong portfolio of enterprise-wide Value Improvement Projects.

● Lead and deliver prioritized variable spend programs to optimize category spending and improve financial performance.

● Influence senior leaders, drive cross-functional alignment and ensure accountability for achieving program objectives and financial outcomes.

● Apply structured change management practices to build adoption, mitigate resistance and embed new ways of working across the enterprise.

● Monitor variable spend performance metrics and ensure alignment with operating margin targets and enterprise financial commitments.

● Identify high-impact cost optimization opportunities and partner with artificial intelligence teams to deliver solutions that reduce operational costs and enhance end-to-end user experiences.

● Oversee model performance, ensuring continuous improvement, operational reliability and sustained business value realization.

 

Required qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management or a related field.

● Minimum of 7 years' experience leading operational excellence, business transformation, process improvement or value improvement initiatives across complex organizations.

● Experience working across global regions, including the Americas, Europe and Asia.

● Demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide programs that deliver measurable financial and operational results.

● Experience influencing senior executives and driving cross-functional alignment in a matrixed organization.

● Strong program and project management capabilities, including governance, stakeholder management and execution.

● Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

● Strong analytical, financial and problem-solving skills.

 

Preferred qualifications:

● Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other advanced degree.

● Experience leading enterprise cost optimization, value improvement or operational excellence programs within a global organization.

● Experience leveraging digital technologies, automation or artificial intelligence to improve business performance.

● Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certification.

● Experience in the medical device, healthcare or other highly regulated industry.

● Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and build a culture of continuous improvement.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
