About the role:
This leadership role will oversee the development, execution, and measurement of marketing activation strategies across Boston Scientific’s high-growth Vascular Therapies division. This includes product lines spanning carotid artery disease, peripheral artery disease, pulmonary embolism, venous therapies, and chronic venous insufficiency.
As Senior Manager, Vascular Marketing Activation, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of marketing professionals, including Integrated Marketing Communications Managers, Digital Marketing Managers, Social Media Managers, and Graphic Designers. You will partner closely with Product Marketing to define the activation strategy necessary to achieve financial goals—grounded in segmentation insights, customer journey mapping, and omni-channel planning.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Own the activation strategy for all vascular therapies, including carotid artery disease, peripheral artery disease, pulmonary embolism, venous therapies, and chronic venous insufficiency.
- Oversee all aspects of the activation process, including messaging development, channel strategy, digital execution, trade show planning, and overall campaign rollout.
- Set the vision, mission, goals, and direction for the vascular activation team while managing day-to-day priorities, workflows, and quality standards.
- Act as a strategic thought partner to commercial leaders to drive achievement of business objectives.
- Influence beyond your direct team by contributing to broader marketing strategy and strengthening overall vascular marketing culture.
- Build and sustain a high-performance team culture by actively coaching, mentoring, and empowering team members while fostering accountability.
- Align commercial stakeholders on activation priorities and ensure appropriate resource allocation to execute plans effectively.
- Develop a resourcing strategy that leverages internal talent, contractors, freelancers, and agency partners.
- Manage a large activation budget in partnership with Procurement and Finance to maximize ROI and meet financial targets.
- Evaluate, select, and manage external agencies to develop impactful campaigns and activations.
- Identify opportunities to deploy digital tools and platforms to drive customer engagement and generate insights for Sales and Marketing teams.
- Partner across functions—including Sales, Digital, and Trade Shows—to ensure seamless execution and stakeholder alignment.
- Champion innovation by exploring new technologies, tools, and approaches to improve campaign effectiveness and business outcomes.
- Ensure all campaigns, collateral, and digital assets adhere to Boston Scientific brand standards.
- Contribute to the continued evolution of an agile, modern integrated communications team.
- Demonstrate a results-first mindset by maintaining close alignment with commercial priorities and driving measurable outcomes.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years' experience leading a team, including recruiting, coaching, and developing talent while driving best practices.
- Minimum of 7 years' marketing or commercial experience, including a minimum of 2 years' experience in a regulated industry (healthcare, pharmaceutical, or financial services)
- Strong background in both integrated marketing communications and digital marketing
- Demonstrated experience working at or with external creative and media agencies, with a solid understanding of advertising and digital campaign workflows
- Proven ability to translate commercial objectives into high-impact omnichannel campaigns
- Excellent communicator with the ability to drive change and influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Demonstrated trust-building and collaboration with key partners including Product Marketing, Sales, IT, Corporate Communications, Legal, Regulatory, and Finance
- Track record of innovation and a willingness to pilot new ideas and technologies in pursuit of better customer experiences
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining clarity for the team
- Experience influencing cross-functional colleagues in a matrixed organization
