Senior Portfolio Management Analyst


About the role:

  • The  Portfolio Management Analyst acts as a critical member of the Peripheral Interventions Program Management Office (PMO) to assist in managing the systems that support the overall portfolio of projects
  • The Portfolio Management Analyst will be responsible for contributing to and aggregating quarterly and annual project budget forecasts across the portfolio, managing team resource allocations in PPMS, and reporting key financial, project performance, and resource metrics across the PI project portfolio. 
  • This person will interact with Finance and Program Management across the division, and will promote communication and help influence consistent practices across the PI franchises.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Act as liaison between product development project teams and the project management office (PMO) to assist in budget and resource planning throughout the year
  • Subject matter expert for Kronos, PPMS, and Project Management databases.  Train project managers to independently manage their projects within the system.
  • Maintain key project information within the PMO data management systems such as Project Home, PMO Portal, PPMS, and other applicable data management systems.  Generate monthly/quarterly reports on performance to key metrics.
  • Act as liaison between project leaders and functional managers to enable resource allocation/charging to projects as needed
  • Responsible for headcount reporting and analysis for PI New Product Development.
  • Monthly/Quarterly reporting of results and metrics, and continued refinement and improvement of metrics for tracking of project/portfolio performance
  • Participate in quarterly/annual portfolio planning process.


What we’re looking for:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or Business
  • 2+ years professional work experience, preferably in a Project Management Office
  • Experience using budgeting and resource allocation systems and databases
  • Demonstrated data analysis/reporting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in standard office software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Possess a strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement and drive to exceed expectations


Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the Medical Device or other project focused environment
  • Demonstrated experience in portfolio, resource, and budget management
  • Database experience and the ability to modify existing database code is a strong plus
