About the role
The New Markets & Portfolio Senior Product Manager will help execute a broad range of projects, analyses, and recommendations of high importance to Interventional Cardiology leadership. Topics will range from the exploration and characterization of new growth opportunities to portfolio optimization that supports key investment decisions. This person is expected to be comfortable working in highly autonomous environments across ambiguous markets and projects while establishing relationships with internal/external business partners, developing compelling recommendations, and driving initiatives to completion.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop comprehensive business cases with supporting financial models to assess new business opportunities through build/buy/partner lens; assess customer unmet needs, identify value propositions, conduct market sizing, analyze competitive landscape and competing technologies, lead project execution, and recommend commercial strategies.
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions and recommendations on investment decisions and market strategy initiatives focused on growing the business while leveraging classic marketing capabilities.
  • Establish relationships with key opinion leaders in the field; collect, analyze and summarize voice of customer (VOC) from key opinion leaders, current and potential customers, and internal stakeholders, through qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Identify, track and provide updates to senior leadership on competitive initiatives to support strategic decision making; conduct and/or direct vendors in market analysis and research
  • Identify best practices to address key business challenges and opportunities. Help to build a strong marketing strategy and portfolio competency within the IC business.
  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders; including R&D, clinical, business development and sales.
  • Exhibit professional maturity and help to foster an open, challenging, stimulating and positive environment that enables colleagues to be their best.
  • What we’re looking for
  • BA/BS required, Master’s/MBA preferred. 
  • 5+ years of related experience with significant time spent in Marketing, Strategy, Finance, ideally in the healthcare domain.
  • Exceptional Interpersonal Skills, including: (1) the ability to earn and maintain the respect of senior leaders; and (2) the ability to respectfully disagree with senior leaders and/or generate buy-in around delicate and sometimes unpopular conclusions and mandates
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Creation of compelling presentations and effective communication of recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience with complex financial modeling, including market, revenue, and investment models.  Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Demonstrated initiative to work autonomously from a work plan.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with others in a dynamic, matrix environment
  • Position requires up to ~20% travel
