Title: Senior Instructional Designer


About the role:

This position is responsible for supporting the design and development of results-oriented training modules, programs, and meetings for the Corporate Accounts Sales and Commercial Operations teams. Major job duties are the design and development of training curricula, courses, modules, and learning paths, which accelerate sales and operational performance. This includes working with a variety of different media and methodologies, taking a continuous improvement approach to existing training assets and content, and measuring effectiveness and success against pre-determined objectives.


Your responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and recommend instructional design strategies designed to meet role-specific and advanced competencies, for professional development
  • Conduct needs analysis and create development plans based on job-specific responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the Corporate Accounts Learning and Development team on learning and development plans aligned to business objectives and strategies  
  • Partner with Corporate Accounts marketing, sales, and operations to identify training needs, recommend solutions, and develop content
  • Collaborate with pan-Boston Scientific Divisional subject matter experts and/or cross-functional teams in developing content for onboarding, product launches, and special projects
  • Ensure training materials meet legal and regulatory requirements, as needed
  • Assess and update training materials and teaching methods to continuously improve productivity
  • Develop training standards and measurement tools to measure performance following each training/meeting
  • Maintain training materials, ensuring content is up-to-date and approved
  • Consult and guide development of training workshops as requested, for National Sales Meetings, Summer Sales Meetings, and other meetings on an as-needed basis




What we are looking for in You

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in learning, development, or instructional design or equivalent experience and/or professional certification accepted
  • 5+ years of instructional design or technical writing experience
  • 5+ years of experience in eLearning/digital authoring tools (e.g., Captivate, Articulate Storyline/Rise)
  • 5+ years of experience with Learning Management Systems, (e.g., Adobe Captivate Prime/Learning Manager)
  • Advanced experience and application of Learning Methodologies, (e.g., ADDIE or Agile)
  • Experience with developing engaging e-learning content for LMS and virtual/remote classroom technologies



  • Ability to quickly grasp clinical content
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage project plans and deliver on specific timelines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to influence without authority
