About the role:

Join our Peripheral Interventions Team, where we create innovative technologies to diagnose and treat peripheral vascular disease. Our products improve patient outcomes and enhance lives by providing the most advanced and broadest set of therapy solutions.

As the Senior Upstream Product Manager for Arterial Drug Elution, you’ll lead strategy and execution for our Flagship Drug Eluting Stent product portfolio.  The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving the upstream marketing efforts, ensuring alignment of voice of customer, business, and technology to address unmet clinical needs. This person is an experienced marketer of highly technical and clinical products and demonstrates strengths in customer insights, product development, and business acumen while working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Determines clear and specific priorities for the development of new products and product enhancements by defining customer needs and working with other internal functional groups.
  • Drive “Voice of Customer” (VOC) throughout the technology development process to ensure market specifications are incorporated throughout each project phase. Execute and participate in multiple physician advisory boards ensuring all HCP engagements are managed in accordance with compliance policies. 
  • Oversee the product portfolio pipeline, making strategic recommendations to optimize product offerings and drive future growth. Understand customer unmet needs and translate them into future pipeline recommendations. 
  • Act as Marketing Lead on project core teams. Be an integral part of new product development teams, contributing to the ideation, development, and launch of innovative products. 
  • Create business cases and investment proposals for new products, preparing ROI analyses, and schedules for new product launches.
  • Consolidates and disseminates a deep understanding of the competitive global PI landscape. Contribute to understanding key industry dynamics in formulating technology, clinical and commercial strategies.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of upstream marketing, product management, or strategic marketing experience in the medical device industry
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30% in support of tradeshows, internal meetings and customer programs; some international travel may be required  

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (such as MBA)
  • Experience with market and revenue modeling
  • Experience with KOL engagement and managing physician collaborators
  • Demonstrated ability to develop deep clinical or technical expertise
  • Ability to collaborate with commercial and finance teams to define and implement effective business models

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
