About the role:
Work with a team to coordinate the shipments of materials (hazardous/nonhazardous) domestically and internationally in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of exported goods.
 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Understands and adheres to safety policies and practices.
  • Ship a wider range of items Internationally using the different shipping carrier's software.
  • Responsible for quality and adheres to departmental process requirements, the Boston Scientific Corporation Quality Policy, and the Strategic Quality Process (SQP)
  • Follow all processes in which trained (in their most current revision), and complete other assigned work, while meeting departmental goals and metrics.
  • Knows the coverage strategy, rotates as necessary, and works well with all group members, both within the team and cross-functionally. Demonstrates, promotes, and suggests ideas for Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for attending and passing all required BSC and site-specific training per the training curriculum.
  • Performs required logistics functions in SAP specific to the shipping area.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Create shipments with carriers and freight forwarders.

 

Required qualifications:

  • 2 years with a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education/work experience

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to operate material handling equipment or be comfortable learning.
  • Strong Teamwork
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to do physical labor and 
  • Able to stand for long periods at a time.
  • Experience using SAP 
  • Shipping Experience
  • Experience with DHL, FedEx, UPS, and Kuehne & Nagle Software
