About the Role

As a Specialist, Customer Education based in Maple Grove, you will develop, implement, and support high-quality training programs and tools for both internal and external product education within the WATCHMAN Franchise. This role leverages instructional design principles and subject matter expertise to deliver impactful learning experiences that strengthen clinical and product understanding across the organization. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of education strategies through collaboration, evaluation, and feedback.

 

Work Mode:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Developing, updating, and implementing product and clinical training programs aligned with business goals and learner needs.
  • Designing and delivering engaging training sessions and tools to enhance customer and employee knowledge of Boston Scientific products, technology, and clinical applications.
  • Evaluating program effectiveness through data analysis and stakeholder feedback, recommending enhancements to improve learning outcomes.
  • Collaborating across functions—such as Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, and Marketing—to ensure accuracy and alignment of content.
  • Adapting training materials to reflect evolving products, processes, and regulations.
  • Providing informal guidance and mentorship to new team members or peers to strengthen the team’s capabilities.
  • Supporting international physician engagement activities by coordinating logistics, communication, and training materials.
  • Leading or coordinating small-scale projects within the education function.
  • Ensuring training content, materials, and delivery methods comply with applicable regulatory and quality standards.
  • Promoting a quality-focused culture within the training organization.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Solid knowledge of training design, instructional methodologies, and clinical or product education principles.
  • Demonstrated experience managing training program budgets, including planning, tracking expenditures, and ensuring alignment with organizational financial guidelines.
  • Ability to apply technical and conceptual knowledge to a range of assignments.
  • Basic understanding of related business functions and their impact on training outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply established guidelines and sound judgment.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting complex information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with quality policies and documented processes.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration to design and deliver programs that support strategic business goals.
  • Understanding of how learning solutions contribute to broader organizational success.
  • Experience providing informal guidance, coaching, or mentorship to peers or new team members.
  • Ability to operate independently on routine projects and activities, with moderate guidance for complex or novel issues.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, quality, and accountability in previous roles.
  • Experience supporting international training events or physician engagement activities.

Maximum Salary: $121400 

 

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
