About this role:

The Senior Clinical Research Manager is responsible for the execution of the Peripheral Interventions Vascular global clinical strategy through the design, planning, execution and leadership of clinical studies and programs worldwide for product development and/or commercialization. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee worldwide Vascular clinical studies and/or programs, in accordance with strategy, milestones, project plans/deliverables, approved budget and resource allocations following applicable regulatory and standard operating procedures
  • Oversee project teams in the planning, execution and management of all operational aspects of large-scale, complex, and/or business critical clinical trials
  • Oversee the development of the clinical trial protocol in accordance with strategy and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Interact and collaborate with physicians from diverse specialties
  • Ensure the project team maintains a continuous state of audit readiness.
  • In collaboration with the project team, lead the proactive identification, assessment, and management of clinical study risks
  • Inform and present study progress and known risks to Senior Leadership
  • Provide clinical input to product development activities; represents Clinical on product development teams
  • Recruit, manage and develop Coordinators, Specialists, Principals and Fellows. Mentors and coaches all levels of the Clinical Trials team
  • Oversee partnership with CRO

 

Specialized/technical skills include:

  • Expert knowledge in managing clinical trials
  • Previous experience in leading teams- hiring, developing and coaching individuals to reach their potential
  • Knowledge of Vascular diseases
  • Experience managing study finances and budgets
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with team members
  • Experience managing global vendors such as CROs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills


What we’re looking for in you:
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of related clinical trial research work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Experience with people management experience and ability to influence leadership 
  • Solid understanding of drug and/or device life cycle management
  • Project management experience required, including managing scope, budgets and timelines
  • Participation on a product development (PDP) core team representing Clinical
  • Financial acumen and Clinical budget management experience required
  • Candidates must have experience with clinical research and experience in setting up and managing clinical research studies

  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence a broad range of global stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain strategic perspective and align activities with business vision and purpose
  • Ability to respond flexibly and positively under conditions of uncertainty or change
  • Ability to independently implement action plans and align activities with project, program and business objectives without significant supervision
