About the Role:
Boston Scientific is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join our Marketing Analytics team within the Urology Division. This unique dual role blends technical expertise with marketing domain knowledge—approximately 50 percent technical and 50 percent strategic insight. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in SQL and modern data transformation tools while also understanding the nuances of marketing analytics. You will play a critical role in operationalizing our data pipelines, enhancing data quality, and supporting a range of initiatives that drive revenue and optimize marketing performance.

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Transformation and Engineering:
- Develop, maintain, and operationalize modular SQL code using transformation tools such as DBT.
- Ensure robust data lineage, implement thorough unit testing, and maintain high data quality.
- Focus on the transformation phase of ELT Extract, Load, Transformation processes.
Collaboration and Data Integration:
- Partner with data engineering, marketing analysts, and cross-functional teams to clean, connect, and integrate data from multiple platforms.
- Create centralized, reliable data repositories that empower data-driven decision-making.
Project Enablement:
- Support a variety of marketing and analytics initiatives by providing high-quality, actionable data solutions.
- Assist in the creation, execution, and reporting of marketing analytics projects, ensuring that insights are clearly communicated to drive strategic decision-making.
- Help unlock insights related to revenue contribution, alignment of marketing spends to business priorities, market opportunity assessments, and key opinion leader identification.
- Enable teams to extract insights from data that drive strategic decisions without being limited to pre-defined projects.
Process Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement in our data pipelines and transformation processes.
- Advocate for best practices in data operations, ensuring scalability and reliability.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in marketing, data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, market research, digital marketing, or a related field
- Experience with SQL and knowledge of modern database platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or AWS.
- Experience using data transformation tools such as DBT and familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar marketing automation platforms.
- Experience working with web analytics tools and digital marketing data.
- Experience analyzing business and commercial data and applying insights to marketing strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and willingness to engage in continuous learning.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience in a healthcare or medical device environment.
- Experience with data visualization tools and automated dashboard development.
- Experience with marketing analytics concepts and the ability to interpret data to generate insights.
