About the role: 

Boston Scientific (BSC) believes that to grow our business, we must grow our people.  We are seeking a Sr. Manager Employee Relations LATAM to lead a team of HR professionals in employee relations, policy interpretation, workplace investigations, and complex HR issues across Latin America. This strategic role focuses on continuous improvement, team effectiveness, and optimizing employee experience, partnering with HR leadership to scale and execute solutions aligned with business goals. The position reports to the Global Director of Employee Relations and collaborates with global HR teams to deliver consistent, scalable services.

 

Your responsibilities will include:   

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the Latin America Employee Relations (ER) team.

  • Provide coaching and training on conflict resolution, performance management, and policy interpretation.

  • Build a collaborative, high-performing, and inclusive team culture.

  • Allocate resources to align with global ER priorities and organizational goals.

 

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Serve as the ER expert for complex investigations and policy interpretation across Latin America.

  • Ensure fair, consistent resolution of sensitive employee matters.

  • Guide managers and employees on workplace issues and compliance.

  • Develop, maintain, and advise on HR policies aligned with global and local standards.

  • Assess and mitigate risk in employee-related matters.

 

Collaboration & Influence

  • Partner with Legal, HRBPs, People Services, and compliance/security teams to resolve escalated issues.

  • Align team priorities with employee and HR community needs; act as an escalation point.

  • Provide guidance on root-cause analysis and intervention planning.

  • Support adoption of the Global ER support model; collaborate with HR Ops and global teams to improve technology and service delivery.

  • Influence leaders to drive consistent employee experience and adopt new ways of working.

  • Identify improvements to services, processes, policies, and procedures using data and feedback.

 

Change & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across HR service delivery, COEs, and HRBPs.

  • Optimize core HR processes and embed a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Support change management efforts to strengthen adoption of the HR operating model.

  • Enhance overall employee experience and operational effectiveness.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 8+ years of progressive experience in human resources in a people leader role, with a focus on employee relations, full cycle workplace investigations, performance management, and compliance in highly matrixed organizations with multi-country or global focus. Equivalent combination of education and work experience would be considered. Advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience managing and conducting full-cycle, complex internal employee investigations supporting multiple countries.
  • Experience leading teams and demonstrated ability to influence and drive performance
  • Strong cultural competence
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish. Portuguese language proficiency is a plus.
  • Ability to influence at all levels in the organization and success in working in a matrixed organization
  • Regional Expertise: Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with specific experience in countries in Latin America.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and matrixed work environment. 
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, teambuilding and customer service skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Maximum Salary: $243000 

 

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
