About the role: 

The Cardiology and Peripheral Interventions Sr. Strategy and Ops Consultant will support the Commercial IT Senior Leadership team. The team member will develop, execute and program strategic initiatives, while acting as a key resource to drive and deliver continuous improvement initiatives. Areas of focus will include key strategic management and oversight, financial management, and operational excellence. Your background in consulting will be leveraged to create, influence and implement improvements that enable value and drive results. In this role you will help drive and manage the teams annual operating plan, financial planning, reporting and management, while also playing a key role in develop the strategic roadmap for leadership. Reporting to the Vice President, Cardiology and Peripheral Interventions Commercial IT you will work closely with the leaders across the team, Commercial IT, Global IT, Finance, Sourcing and Global Business Services.

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Financial Management: Act as the Chief Finance Officer for the team owning/ managing end to end financials (budgets, forecasts, actuals)
  • Annual Strat Plan + Annual Operating Plan Support:
  • Lead overall deliverables and timelines in partnership with Sr. Leadership
    • Manage financial budgets, partnering with key stakeholders
    • Own Cardiology and PI IT internal financial reviews, budget analysis and reporting updates
    • Ensure strong fiscal management and guide strategic investments and funding decisions
    • Funding review processes
  • Support strategic and organizational meetings including town halls, quarterly Sr. Leadership strategy meetings, monthly/ weekly forums, etc.
  • Process Improvement Plans: Define and lead creation of various improvement plans to solve gaps and enhance team culture
  • Assist with talent activities including onboarding processes, upskilling strategies, team culture, role and responsibilities definitions, org structure/ design providing strategic input through operational execution
  • Process Optimization: Identify area of opportunities to enhance efficiency within the team and across stakeholders, includes ways of working
    • Stakeholder mapping and engagement strategies with internal / external stakeholders
    • Artificial Intelligence strategy
    • Other initiatives as needed
  • Operational Management and Oversight: Partner on the development of key metrics and reporting processes to inform decision making through data and process.
  • Performance Metrics: Define KPIs/OKRs, track progress toward goals for data-driven decisions
  • Change Management: Develop frameworks/ plans to ensure successful strategy implementation leading change management activities as appropriate
  • Completed assigned deliverable as requested

 

Required qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field
  • 7+ years of strategy and large-scale program management or Chief of Staff experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Budgeting, Financial Management and Reporting experience
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities
  • Familiarity with digital transformation and technology integration
  • Portfolio management, change management or product management is a plus
  • Ability to successfully navigate ambiguity and engage executive leadership
  • Strategic mindset with ability to execute
  • Self-starter that takes initiative
  • Operational excellence/ experience (process improvement mindset)

Maximum Salary: $161500

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
