About the role:  

The Area Business Analyst aids the field sales organization in reaching their sales goals, specific to an assigned sales area of the US. This is done through, but not limited to, pro-active sales analytics, sales strategies, territory / data modeling and general field sales support, as well as education, training and communication. This job also requires coordination with internal departments, including Pricing and Contracting, Marketing, Finance and IT. This role requires a high level of business acumen, customer solution focus, multi-tasking skills, comprehensive organizational skills and analytical ability.       

   

   

Your responsibilities will include:  

  • Develops and distributes analytics and reporting to assist field sales and sales leadership tracking of key performance indicators  

  • Collaborates with Sales Leadership and internal partners to develop and execute strategic projects to help drive sales execution  

  • Identifies best practices for executing strategy including education platforms and analytics.  

  • Identifies opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of processes being used to operationalize the go-to-market strategy  

  • Determines and institutes optimal use of Sales Enablement platforms and tools to facilitate sales objectives  

  • Makes strategic recommendations to management to improve processes and support for the field sales force  

  • Provides effective support for the field sales team by responding to all requests in a timely, accurate and efficient manner  

  • Acts as a liaison for the Sales team to internal departments  

  • Optimizes the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes as needed  

  • Conducts primary research in the field to understand business drivers and uncover business opportunities, to facilitate the planning and execution of projects  

  • Utilizes Tableau and available data delivery technology and tools to deliver intuitive analyses to the field  

  • Drives efficiencies within both sales operations and the sales organization  

  • Understands voice of business/users and understands business processes  

  • Possesses a high-level of urgency to respond to timely business needs    

  • Participates in special projects as they arise  

   

What we are looking for in you  

Minimum Qualifications  

  • Bachelor's degree  

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in sales, sales / commercial operations, sales enablement or finance  

  • Experience supporting a sales organization  

  • Strong data analysis skills; able to collect and analyze business information and draw accurate conclusions and present to Leadership  

  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve complex business operations challenges    

  • Strong ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work to positively impact business performance  

  • Must be a self-starter with clear focus   

  • High sense of urgency and commitment to execution    

  • Outstanding communications skills, able to communicate with all levels of an organization.   

  • Person must be a team player and be able to work with a positive attitude in the fast-paced world of sales.  Individual should be able to build long lasting relationships with key contacts at all levels of the sales and BSC organization  

  • Person who is detailed oriented but can manage and prioritize multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.  Individual should be able to balance short-term, urgent needs with long-term strategic initiatives  

  • Experience using Tableau or similar data visualization software (applicant will be asked to present a past work of their own visual analytics during interview process)  

  • Expert level skills with Microsoft Excel, intermediate to above average Access, PowerPoint and Word.  

  • Travel requirement: Approx. 5-10% of the time – primarily for internal meetings and events.  

   

Preferred Experience  

  • At least 1 years of Salesforce.com or related Customer Relationship Management software experience preferred (User experience a plus)  

  • Analytics and sales strategy experience  

  • Knowledge/experience of fields sales force interactions  

  • Experience in sales training  

  • Prior experience working in Sales Operations, Finance, Sales Compensation is strongly preferred
