About the role:
The Sr Quality Supervisor is a unique opportunity for a highly capable experienced engineer and/or supervisor to leverage their technical and leadership skill sets as they help support the Post Production Quality Assurance team in Maple Grove. He/she/they will support Product Release of Finished Devices, control of potential non-conforming product and Records Retention for the Maple Grove site. He/she/they will also supervise and provide technical direction to a team of quality technicians.
This is a hybrid work mode position located in Maple Grove, MN with the expectation to be onsite 2 days per week.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a team of Quality Technicians
- Proactively investigates, identifies, and implements best in class quality practices
- Leads projects either within the department or cross functionally
- Promotes continuous improvement and lean culture
- Provides guidance to quality technicians and assist them in obtaining their career goals
- Maintains and enhances cross functional team relationships
- Manage daily issues within the Records Retention, Product Release and Quality Notification space
- Work with manager to establish and maintain department goals and strategies
- Become a subject matter expert in matters relating to Product Release, Quality Notification and Records Retention at the Maple Grove site with the ability to make sound decisions and provide guidance regarding how to best apply the processes efficiently, effectively, and compliantly
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing, operations, quality, or related experience
- Must have a practical understanding of problem-solving skills and process improvement tools such as DMAIC and Lean Manufacturing
- Must understand quality system requirements stated within 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 products
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Medical device industry experience preferred
- Familiar with SAP preferred
- Familiar with data analytics programs (such as Power BI/Tableau) preferred
- Proactive, able to work both independently and as a team leader
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate at various levels of the organization and across multiple different regions
