About the Role: 


We have an opportunity to join a great team within the Urology/Pelvic Health Sustaining R&D Group. This role includes the opportunity to support a range of products across the UroPH franchises.

 

Your Responsibilities to Include: 

 

  • Support and successfully contributes to project teams and through the following activities: design changes, test of materials (proof of concept and design verification), failure investigations, and creative problem solving activities. 
  • Works cooperatively with process development, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing on projects of varying complexity to ensure project success. Responsible for engineering documentation.
  • Design and coordinate standard engineering tests and experiments.
  • Support solutions to a variety of problems where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
  • Summarize, analyze, and draw conclusions from test results.
  • Prepare standard reports/documentation to communicate results to technical community.
  • Assist in troubleshooting on products/process problems as related to design, material, or process.
  • Engage with internal company and external contacts. Represents organization on specific projects. Use diplomacy and tact in interactions and problem solving.
  • Translate customer needs into product requirements and design specifications.
  • Trains technicians/operators on new processes and/or test procedures 
  • Supports concepts and designs for new products/processes and submits idea disclosures.
  • Applies the Product Development Process (PDP) and Product Life Cycle Process (PLCP) methodologies.
  • Designs, procures, and fabricates tooling and fixtures.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

 

What we’re looking for: 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in: Materials Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with design controls, including design changes and design verification
  • Familiarity with the PDP/PLCP and BSC Quality system
