About the role
Provide support to initiatives and efforts in the area of Global Payment Policy, Health Delivery System Policy, Payer Claims and related Data Analytics and commercial support for businesses and key initiatives (including support for Health Economics and Market Access, Corporate Accounts, Global Healthcare Solutions and Government Affairs).  Leverage experience and expertise in key global payment and delivery system policies to advance Boston Scientific's strategy and objectives.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supports initiatives to monitor and influence global payment and market access policies
  • Identifies potential opportunities and risks in policy proposals and trends.
  • Provide analytical insight and perspectives with respect global payment and delivery system changes and policies.
  • Supports Boston Scientific Policy Council and public position statement approval process.
  • Collaborate with corporate strategy, customer insights, and pan-BSC marketing initiatives to achieve Boston Scientific objectives
  • Work closely with Market Access/HEGA, Government Affairs, Global Regulatory Policy Corporate Accounts, Services and Solutions, Corporate Strategy, and businesses/regions to proactively influence payment and delivery system policies.
  • Model behavior and culture in functions  to ensure the organization is evolving to meet business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels.

 

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred (Master’s Degree highly desirable) with focus on health policy or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of work experience in the healthcare industry with experience in some combination of the following:
    • U.S. and/or global healthcare policy
    • Medicare reimbursement expertise
    • Managed care contracting and commercial coverage and reimbursement expertise
  • Strong analytical skills including proficiency in querying, analyzing and summarizing data
  • Self-motivated and can work independently
  • Time management skills; ability to manage multiple internal client related priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Up to 10% domestic travel (internal customers)
