About the Role:
The Principal Financial analyst is responsible for leading complex financial analysis and research of various business initiatives, ventures and operations, providing technical expertise. The role leads initiatives requiring rigorous financial analysis, as requested by leadership. Provides reporting, planning, and analytical support to Global Business Services management. The position requires strong collaboration, communications and change management skills as well as significant experience in the order to cash processes.

The Global Business Services (GBS) team is an organization established within Boston Scientific designed to reduce cost, provide value through reporting and improve the efficiency of key business processes by taking opportunities to drive standardization, leverage resources and knowledge and skills, and monitor the effectiveness of service delivery against benchmarks and service level agreements. Your Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for a variety of complex financial and statistical functions
- Manage the preparation and maintenance of a broad range of standard financial, operational, and statistical reports
- Manage financial analysis activities and make recommendations to management concerning financial/operational and statistical reports
- Evaluate operational and financial systems or procedures; develop and recommend new or revised methods and controls reports
- Create operational reports and presentations along with supporting analysis and recommendations
- Manage and complete special projects and analytic research; create presentations for Sr. Management
- May provide ad-hoc analysis and information to Corporate and/or Division Finance, Treasury and/or other groups
- Drive automation of OTC processes with AI, RPA & other tools in coordination with the GBS Automation team where feasible and cost effective
- In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
- Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
- Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
What We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in accounting, business or finance required
- 5+ years of relevant working experience in international company with a true global footprint
- Strong financial acumen to develop business cases that support new or improved service proposals
- Knowledge of US GAAP accounting and internal controls. Solid understanding of the relationship of internal controls and business processes.
- Ability to work independently, capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot table etc.) and advanced PowerPoint creation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- ERP technology experience an advantage, including SAP
- Executive presence, communication, and influence skills: ability to develop strong, compelling value propositions and influence executive level stakeholders
- Problem-solving skills: Outstanding ability to diagnose problems which could be related to process, technology, strategy, or people and put in place actions/measures.
