About the role:
Provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction to drive Boston Scientific’s current and future global digital commerce / e-commerce activities. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining global connectivity between digital commerce teams, proliferating best practices, ensuring a cohesive digital commerce experience, leveraging test-and-learn approaches, and advancing the customer-facing digital commerce experience.  The ultimate focus is to help ensure Boston Scientific’s digital commerce-related initiatives are customer centric, global, scalable, and integrated.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Facilitate strategic alignment across the global organization and lead efforts to define Boston Scientific’s global digital commerce vision, strategy, roadmap, and drive strategic & tactical business planning activities.
• Define the core tenets of digital commerce strategy to provide a framework for decision-making and resource investment strategies.
• Consult with divisional, regional, and functional stakeholders on digital commerce challenges and evaluate new opportunities, managing strategic evaluation and implementation process development: identification and awareness of problem/opportunity, market, competitive, and customer analysis, creation of strategic recommendations, management of pilot programs, planning and communication.
• Develop digital commerce business opportunities and enhancement recommendations based on data, insights, & analytics in anticipation of changing customer needs, competitive actions, and long-term macro trends.
• Collaborate across divisions & regions to capitalize on digital commerce synergies that impact efficiency and revenue growth.
• Identify, track, & report usage, costs, & KPIs to senior management and internal partners. Synthesize relevant data and provide necessary insights to support key business decisions. 
• Build and maintain relationships with relevant functions including marketing, sales, IT, finance, supply chain, and regional and divisional digital commerce teams.
• Serve as advisor, subject matter expert, and internal consultant to internal stakeholders; keep current with latest ecommerce and digital commerce trends and technology
• Recruit, develop and evaluate top talent to build strategic capabilities of the function.
Minimum Requirements:
• 5+ years of digital commerce/e-commerce management and implementation
• BS or BA in Business, Management, Marketing, or related field.
• High aptitude and experience in digital commerce and related technologies, including expert level understanding of e-commerce platforms (salesforce.com or SAP strongly preferred) with extensive knowledge of best practices and strategies (upstream/design to execution)
• Demonstrated experience communicating, collaborating, and influencing business unit, functional, and technical team members at all levels in the organization 
• Experience defining business requirements, writing user stories, and providing detailed B2B digital commerce system and functional designs
• Demonstrated excellence in project management, people management, and leadership
• Recent & successful track record building & running digital commerce/ecommerce business; experience in establishing procedures, implementing processes and successful execution
• Experienced in strategic planning, financial analysis, budget management and data organization
• Excellent oral and written communication, presenting, meeting facilitation, negotiation, decision making, and problem-solving skills
• Must be a team player with demonstrated influence and change management skills.

• Medical device or medical supplies industry experience a plus
