Associate Director, Program Management

Location: Marlborough, MA

Work Mode: Hybrid, 3-Days Onsite Required 

About the role: 

The Endoscopy PMO is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and strategic Project Management professional to join the senior leadership team as a people leader and franchise partner.  In this role, you will lead a talented group of new product development (NPD) project managers.  As a franchise partner, you will be a key member of the franchise leadership team focused on delivering best in class devices to patients and clinicians in support of BSC’s mission.  

Your Responsibilities: 

• People Management: Coach project managers in the successful execution of new product development programs.  

• Relationship/Stakeholder Management: Build trusting relationships with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Achieve results through influence. 

• Franchise Partnership: Act as the primary liaison for the PMO to the franchise.  Understand all aspects of franchise strategy and act as an independent voice in decision-making discussions. Facilitate franchise operations including budget management in collaboration with Franchise Leadership Team and Finance. Understand and help manage the franchise project portfolio cadence. 

• PMO Senior Leadership Team: Collaborate with PMO leaders in developing and executing strategies to advance PMO capabilities and ensure optimal resource allocation.  

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering or Business and 12+ years of work experience in product development or program management 

• Advanced program management experience leading large, complex medical device new product development programs 

• Experience leading and developing a team of project managers 

• Outstanding emotional intelligence, situational leadership, and ability to manage by influence 

• Results-oriented, positive attitude focused on delivering timely, accurate and best-in-class execution 

• Strong executive presence, comfortable communicating with and presenting to all levels of leadership and able to tailor communications to the audience 

Preferred qualifications and competencies:

• Master’s degree in Science, Engineering or Business  

• PMP certification  

• Requires deep, advanced knowledge of theories, concepts, principles and systems in multiple related professional job functions; requires comprehensive understanding of industry standards to adapt departmental plans according
