About the Role:
The Finance team is looking for an Associate Director to lead the launch of the Global HQ FinOps team. This is an exciting opportunity to build a new capability and talent pipeline for the US FP&A organization. The new hub will facilitate standardized and streamlined reporting, process alignment and technology enablement across divisions. 

 

The FinOps leader will report to the Global Controller & Chief Accounting Officer. This position has a high degree of collaboration initially with the Finance Forward team, as well as interaction with corporate, divisional, and regional finance groups across the organization.  

 

This is a hybrid position (in office minimum three days per week) with the flexibility to be located in Marlborough or Minnesota. You will have the opportunity to discuss your preferred working location with your Talent Acquisition Specialist.

 

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
⦁    Oversee and lead all Global HQ FinOps activities, including services supporting FP&A reporting and processes across the Global Divisions and Corporate Functions 
⦁    Serve as an inspiring and engaging leader who motivates through clear articulation of FP&A processes, related strategy and priorities 
⦁    Refine and maintain the overall strategy and roadmap for the Global HQ FinOps that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives
⦁    Identify opportunities to streamline & improve financial planning and analysis processes by driving process improvement roadmap, projects & priorities
⦁    Help develop strategy for technology roadmap supporting FP&A processes; partner with IT and relevant project teams (e.g., EPM, PPM)
⦁    Set process performance targets and KPIs to assess team performance
⦁    Establish and maintain strong relationships with BSC Finance senior leadership and other stakeholders (e.g., IT, HR, GBS, etc.)
⦁    Create opportunities to share best practices and align processes globally across the FP&A organization, including with EMEA FinOps and APAC FP&A Hub
⦁    Recruit, hire, and retain strong local team members
⦁    Identify and manage the training and upskilling of local team members
⦁    Manage budget, headcount, and controls for FinOps team in alignment with the enterprise frameworks and expectations

 

Required Qualifications:
⦁    Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field    
⦁    Minimum 10-15 years in financial analysis, planning and business support
⦁    Demonstrated ability to inspire a team of early career professionals with a deep commitment to career development and upskilling
⦁    Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, drive process improvements and support change management principles
⦁    Demonstrated end-to-end process thinking with the ability to drive global process harmonization 
⦁    Must be able to work well in a complex, highly matrixed worldwide organization and be able to simplify that matrix for reporting and analytical purposes 
⦁    Comfort with ambiguity; skilled at problem-solving to meet internal customers’ needs; proven ability to work through roadblocks; demonstrated critical thinking skills; analytical and process-driven
⦁    Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to develop and maintain relationships on all levels within a global organization; ability to communicate how and why decisions were made to various stakeholder groups
⦁    Strong skills in Excel, Hyperion, SAP, Tableau, Power BI or other data visualization tools

 

Preferred Qualifications:
⦁    A desire and commitment to meaningfully contribute to organizational culture 
⦁    Proven results applying lean process improvement in enterprise-wide and transactional environments
⦁    Master’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics or similar
⦁    Prior experience in a medium to large medical device company preferred
⦁    Prior leadership role in driving organizational or major process change
