Associate Innovation Lab Manager Endoscopy
Marlborough, MA (Hybrid 3+ Days per week)
As Associate Innovation Lab Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary team across R&D labs, machine shop and equipment within the Endoscopy (Endo) division of Boston Scientific
In this role you will interact with project teams within Endoscopy acting as the go-to contact for the organization’s testing, equipment, fixturing, and lab needs. You will use, research, and purchase state-of-the-art equipment that is used to develop life-saving medical devices.
In this role, each day presents a new challenge and you utilize creative problem solving skills across many competencies including engineering, facilities maintenance, project management, and people management.
There is exposure and collaboration across the entire organization from Marlborough to Costa Rica to Ireland to India and beyond.
Your responsibilities include:
- Responsible for end results of the team by setting priorities for the machinists, technicians and other technical employees to ensure task completion and coordinates work activities with other supervisors/team leaders
- Provides input on resource planning, guidelines, processes and procedures
- Identifies, anticipates, troubleshoots, and resolves day-to-day functional, technical, operational and service problems; may establish new techniques to ensure the team is able to meet its objectives receives guidance and oversight from manager
- Makes decisions that improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team and related teams while also keeping their organizations visions and values at the forefront
- Guides by using policies and procedures and cascaded goals and objectives
- Adopts and implements functional, technical, service and/or process improvements that impact the flow of the own team(s)
- Works to establish collaborative relationships with internal and external contacts in order to further departmental and organizational objectives
- Fostering a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
- Monitoring compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.).
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience working in a regulated environment; preferably medical devices
- 1+ years of experience managing people; directly or indirectly
- Working Knowledge of labs and/or machine shop methodologies
- Demonstrated capability to problem solve day to day functional, technical and operational problems in areas such as including engineering, facilities maintenance, project management, and people/resource management.
- Willingness to work onsite at our Marlboro, MA location 3+ days per week
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering
- Budgetary Experience
- Personal drive, individual accountability & a strong bias for action.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strongly Knowledge of BSC Endoscopy Business and Products

Base Salary Range
Minimum Salary: $ 95100
Maximum Salary: $ 180700
The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for exempt roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
