About the role:
The Associate Product Manager will support a Urology product line and/or key marketing project(s). The Associate Product Manager plays a key role in executing the commercial strategy based on their knowledge of market, competition and clinical trends. This person has an ability to execute at a high level, analytical skills and demonstrates strength in franchise management, product lifecycle management including new product development, product launches, commercialization, forecasting, and demonstrates a high level of business acumen. This person will collaborate with the broader Urology Product Management Team on key projects and best-practice learning and sharing. This individual will have experience working cross-functionally, partnering with the Sales team, and have the ability to manage and develop physician partnerships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Learn and contribute to the development and execution of the franchise integrated market business plan. Assist in strategic planning, market segmentation, product positioning, and messaging.
- Learn key franchise technologies and support new product design and development within the internal Technology &/or Product Development Process.
- Learn the internal global downstream marketing network and provide marketing support to field sales and other strategic channels.
- Learn the clinical environment influencing the franchise, including the clinical procedure, the key decision makers, and business barriers & motivations.
- Learn how to effectively leverage the involvement of Marketing Science, Communications & Programs, Global Marketing Analytics, & Education Program Management.
- Establish and develop key internal and external relationships, including cross functional teams, other franchises, sales, and key opinion leaders.
- Learn and assist with the franchise financial/sales/supply chain forecasting processes, as well as other operationally related issues.
- Learn the internal marketing & cross-functional systems and processes required to support the franchise.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing
- 0-6 months internship experience in medical devices
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including Sales, Brand Marketing, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Finance in the medical device space
- Experience coordinating consistent branding and messaging across all social media channels in the medical device space
- Domestic travel up to 25-35%.
Preferred qualifications:
- Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience creating impactful marketing plans, and developing value propositions, positioning and targeting
- Experience building relationships with key customers and cross-functional partners focused on the sales organization
- Urology medical device experience
- Ability to collaborate cross functionally
- Proven ability to influence without authority
- Previous internship experience with Boston Scientific
