About the role:

Boston Scientific’s Robotic Process Business Analyst will be part of the Finance Operations Center of Excellence (COE) that allows us to prioritize projects and manage resources to drive strategic value. The creation of a Finance Operations COE aligns with two of our Strategic Imperatives: Global Process Improvement, which requires that we innovate and continuously improve for a faster, more efficient organization, and Project Excellence, which requires that we prioritize projects and manage resources to drive value.

 

The COE will evaluate and deploy emerging solutions such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) that provide further opportunities for the finance team to focus on higher-value work. In addition to driving and supporting a culture of continuous improvement, the COE will support finance leadership in prioritizing work across the organization through maintenance and enhancement of the Finance Roadmap. The COE will facilitate governance forums and implement management standards for key projects and programs. Creating capacity within the finance organization along with a clearly prioritized workload is critical for both enhanced employee experiences as well as the successful execution of our Finance mission.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to conduct current state process assessments and design future state solutions
  • Analyze and observe processes to understand process steps, interdependencies, and applications used to complete transactions
  • Identify processes that are suitable for automation, and provide recommendations to reengineer processes to improve automation potential
  • Support and/or participate in project planning and communication for RPA initiatives
  • Prepare detailed process documentation including SIPOC, etc.
  • Build, test deliver and maintain robotic automation capabilities using industry leading RPA software
  • Support and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management
  • Facilitating access requests to IT systems and applications

 

What we’re looking for:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or Information Technology
  • 2-4 years’ experience in business-facing IT role, or in finance/accounting role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to influence at all levels from multiple departments and geographic locations; awareness of cultural differences
  • Ability to develop design and requirements/design documents for processes
  • Committed to finding solutions to challenges and enjoys creative problem solving
  • Ability to solve problems collaboratively and build strong relationships
  • Team player, flexible, and committed to quality process and outcomes
  • Strong self-direction and initiative; willingness to take complete ownership over projects and tasks
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks
  • Process orientation with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with RPA software such as Automation Anywhere, and programming (Python, macros, Java, etc.) a plus
  • Lean process knowledge, certification preferred
  • Technical experience in several of the following areas:
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL
  • User level skills in SAP, SAP BW, Hyperion, Alteryx, Tableau
  • Visual Basic skills a plus

 

Please note this role may be filled at the Analyst I or II level depending on final candidate’s level of experience and qualifications.
