About the role:

The Business Consultant Manager I will partner with global businesses/divisions & functions to drive a continuous improvement culture and Value Improvement Projects to achieve BSC’s strategic objectives. This role will support the PLCP (Product Life Cycle Process) and NPD (New Product Development) Optimization areas of the Global Enterprise Excellence group.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Drive and support BSC’s Enterprise Excellence PLCP Operational Excellence Program with businesses and functions as appropriate
  • Direct reporting responsibility for Enterprise Excellence consultant(s)
  • Project manage various global and functional projects with teams to drive business outcomes specifically in the areas of PLCP and NPD Optimization
  • Collaborate with leaders and their organization to inspire a continuous improvement culture by deploying process improvement/operational excellence roadmaps, methodologies and tools across the enterprise
  • Influence leaders and teams to deliver on plans
  • Drive problem solving and resolution to roadblocks
  • Work globally motivating teams in the development and adoption of global best practices in difficult scenarios
  • Influence best practices and adoption of improvement ideas, activities, and outcomes
  • Partner with leaders, champions and employees to share best practices to further accelerate the rate of improvement
  • Facilitate global kaizen/workshops in person or virtual to target key enterprise improvements and provide instant offense when necessary to drive strategic business priorities
  • Facilitate best in class Value Improvement, Lean, Lean Business Process (LBP), and Value Improvement Process (VIP) training for employees at all levels
  • Identify and drive internal/external benchmarking opportunities to improve processes/toolkits to drive quality, service and cost improvements.

 

 

What we’re looking for in you:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of Process Improvement / Lean related experience with in person and virtual tool sets.
  • Proven results applying lean in enterprise-wide and transactional environments
  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial/consultant mindset
  • Ability to build enthusiasm for change and experience with change management
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Agile skills and methodology knowledge a plus
  • Travel 10-20%

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA preferred
