About the role
As a Business Systems Analyst III on our Intelligent Automation, Data & Digital Services team, you’ll play a key role in advancing how we use data to drive smarter decisions across Finance and other key functions. You’ll lead reporting and analytics initiatives that enable process improvement through standardization, automation, and optimization grounded in lean principles. This role calls for a strong communicator and problem solver who thrives in collaboration and brings curiosity and precision to every challenge. You’ll report to the GBS Senior Manager – Intelligent Automation, Data & Digital Services.

 

Our team partners with stakeholders across the business to evaluate use cases and deliver innovative solutions that transform how we manage and use data. We integrate structured and unstructured data to streamline reporting, enhance visibility, and strengthen decision-making. Working closely with technical teams and business leaders, you’ll help shape the future of intelligent automation and deliver meaningful, data-driven value to Boston Scientific.

 

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with IT, Finance, divisional teams, and the India Reporting team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of Corporate Daily Sales Reporting, including ongoing maintenance, testing, data validation, and enhancements in response to business or system changes
  • Supporting the development and implementation of globally standardized financial reporting and analytics solutions
  • Ensuring continuous delivery, maintenance, and end-user support for existing financial reporting tools
  • Acting as the primary liaison between Finance and IT for all financial data initiatives
  • Driving enhancements, process improvements, and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy across IA financial service offerings
  • Providing end-user support, delivering training, and maintaining process and technical documentation
  • Developing a deep understanding of underlying data and data structures, and how that data is used by the business
  • Translating business requirements into actionable reporting solutions, analytics tools, and dashboards using agile methodologies and IA best practices
  • Collaborating with the Intelligent Automation team and business stakeholders to develop and deliver reporting, analytics, and automation solutions that:
    - drive real-time insights and improved decision-making
    - streamline existing reporting tools
    - strategically automate dashboards and expand functionality


Qualifications:


Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field of study.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in financial reporting or business analysis.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with data-visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis, data modeling, and data cleansing.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Applied financial acumen with experience partnering with business stakeholders to translate needs into reporting and insights.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional projects; plans, tracks, and reports status (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar).
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative working style; able to facilitate discussions and document requirements.
  • Organized and detail-oriented; able to prioritize work and operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes and proactively engage internal stakeholders to drive outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a global organization and partnering with regional/business unit leadership teams.
  • Experience generating, analyzing, and delivering sales and financial management reporting (dashboards, KPIs, executive summaries).
  • Experience with data lake/warehouse platforms (e.g., SAP HANA, Snowflake, or similar) and enterprise financial systems (e.g., SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle EPM, Hyperion/SmartView, or similar).
  • Familiarity with predictive analytics, data modeling, or generative AI solutions; able to assess appropriate use cases.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
