About the role:

Individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing the execution of customer education programs to support the key sales and marketing objectives for the Endoscopy division while adhering to industry guidelines.  Will manage the Hands-on Specialist team and Divisional Specialists as direct reports.  Responsible for collaborating with franchise marketing managers, market development managers and sales teams to identify education opportunities. Network and understand how to effectively communicate and navigate in a highly matrixed organization.  Requires demonstrated understanding of clinical information.  Expertise in endoscopy, surgical and /or pulmonary specialties preferred.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Develop annual and long-term objectives for direct reports.
  • Oversee projects and performance of specialist level direct reports.
  • Apply team/franchise/ industry knowledge to solve project-based issues.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and leadership skills in interactions with direct reports, peers, senior management and customers.
  • Provide coaching and development to staff.  Identify growth opportunities and assist specialists in attaining career growth.  Motivate individuals to achieve results.


Management of Educational Programs:

  • Manage day-to-day activities to maximize pro-active contributions to educational activities and ensuring commitments are met.
  • Gain cooperation from necessary stakeholders; identify and coordinate necessary resources; create and communicate schedules; and manage detailed tracking and status of project progress, issues, risks, budget, etc.
  • Monitor and manage progress and completion of education deliverables through metrics and budget data.  Work with Education team to modify processes as needed to optimize group performance.
  • Provide subject matter expertise when managing medical educational programs in a variety of media that may include: video, print, symposia, interactive and web-based communication vehicles.

  • In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

What we’re looking for you in:

  • BS/BA required
  • 5+ years’ work experience, 1+ minimum years of related field or clinical work experience. Endoscopy experience preferred but not necessary.
  • Strategic insight and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills and ability to establish strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time-management skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Travel required to support educational programs and meet with key customer stakeholders (40%)
