About the role:
The Clinical Education Specialist II is responsible for planning, managing, and executing healthcare professional (HCP) education programs within the Sacral Neuromodulation (SNM) franchise. This role collaborates cross-functionally with internal stakeholders—including sales, marketing, content and curriculum experts, compliance, and meeting management—to ensure high-quality delivery of in-person and virtual training events for BSC customers and faculty.
Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the planning and execution of SNM education programs, including national and APP courses, centers of education, preceptor and proctor engagements, lectures, and peer-to-peer calls.
- Manage all event logistics including venue selection, travel coordination, lodging, catering, audio/visual setup, marketing materials, communication, and on-site support.
- Support SNM Health programs through complete event logistics execution, contract management, and cross-functional coordination.
- Strategize with the Manager of Clinical Education on departmental efficiencies, training center development, internal vs. external resource balance, and cost-savings opportunities.
- Oversee event management systems including registration, communications, travel, reimbursement, vendor contracts, payments, and data tracking.
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders at all levels to manage expectations, align on timelines, and ensure executional excellence.
- Develop and manage event budgets, identify savings opportunities, and ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
- Generate faculty consulting payment engagements in compliance with BSC policy.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by tracking industry trends and promoting innovation and best practices.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and clinical education leadership to support the development of program content and ensure the delivery of required materials, instruments, and supplies.
- Manage the full customer experience for program attendees—from registration and communication through post-event follow-up and expense reconciliation.
- Coordinate and maintain the calendar of education programs and associated activities.
- Assist with training program evaluation, implementation, and delivery.
- Establish, manage, and enforce event management policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience managing programs in the medical device industry or another regulated environment.
- Proven organizational and project management skills.
- Experience managing vendors and working with diverse customer groups, including HCPs, engineers, sales, marketing, and training teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from start to finish with strong cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with budget management and responsible fiscal oversight.
- Knowledge of guidelines and regulations related to medical education and HCP engagement.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-starter with strong urgency, proactiveness, and anticipation of group and business needs.
- Ability to work independently while managing priorities and meeting critical deadlines.
- Proficiency in CVent, Salesforce, Smartsheet, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Adobe.
- Ability to travel up to 15%, including overnight and weekend travel.
Quality system requirements:
Demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with the Quality Policy and all documented quality processes and procedures.
Ensures necessary resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are in place to maintain compliance with the Quality System and BSC Quality Policy.
