About the role:

The Digital Capabilities Specialist is a forward-thinking learning professional who is passionate about technology and driving digital solutions within the learning space. This role supports the Urology Sales Training team and is accountable for the functional and technical administration of the learning management system (LMS) and other digital platforms. This individual excels in user-centered design and has a proven track record of implementing creative, “out-of-the-box” solutions—ideally in collaboration with cross-functional teams such as HR, Commercial Enablement, IT, and Marketing.

This role serves as the key point of contact for both internal training teams and external stakeholders, including Urology sales professionals and vendor partners. The Digital Capabilities Specialist ensures that learning technologies are compliant, scalable, data-informed, and aligned to Boston Scientific’s growth. A deep understanding of technical opportunities and constraints is essential.

As part of the Learning and Design team, this individual will collaborate closely with instructional designers and sales trainers to assess, prioritize, and implement learning technology solutions. This includes designing, analyzing, and reporting on learning-related data. Additionally, this position may support content development projects and will play a critical role in shaping the digital learning roadmap and strategy.


Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.


Your responsibilities will include:

● Serve as the primary administrator for the Urology Sales Training LMS (UROLEARN) and Boston Scientific’s Learning Experience Platform (LXP), including content and learner management, course assignment protocols, and reporting.

● Lead LMS operations and support, including integration with other platforms (e.g., SFDC, Tableau, HRIS).

● Provide subject matter expertise and training for LMS administrators and support users with troubleshooting and system navigation.

● Set up and manage virtual classrooms and coordinate virtual learning environments.

● Collaborate with instructional designers and cross-functional stakeholders to define and implement technology solutions for learning.

● Maintain and govern standard operating procedures, ensuring system use aligns with best practices and compliance requirements.

● Manage user onboarding in partnership with onboarding administrators and communicate system updates and releases.

● Oversee LMS branding, layout, and data integrity, and establish policies for course upload testing and quality assurance.

● Upload, test, and manage digital learning content including e-learning modules, tutorials, and knowledge checks.

● Recommend learning technology strategies based on user data and analytics, defining KPIs and reporting to stakeholders.

● Create and manage course structures and schedules in collaboration with content designers.

● Maintain audit schedules and version control for digital content and support technical troubleshooting of course assets.


Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in educational technology, learning engineering, instructional design, or a related field.

● Minimum of 3 years' experience as a learning management system (LMS) administrator or equivalent experience.

● Familiarity with course design processes and development.

● Strong data analysis skills within a learning environment.

● Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

● Experience managing user roles, permissions, course uploads, and user support within LMS platforms.

● Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

● Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

● Experience with industry standards such as SCORM, XAPI, and Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI).

● Experience delivering or supporting technical training.

Preferred qualifications:

● Basic proficiency in Articulate360 or similar eLearning authoring tools to support Tier 1 learning module development.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
