About the role:
This role offers the option of 100% remote work or a hybrid arrangement in our Marlborough, MA office location.
The Digital Content Manager holds strategic and tactical responsibilities for developing the division's digital marketing content. They are also responsible for leading the division's content development practice, ensuring the utilization of effective tools, procedures, and processes for success. Additionally, they manage a strong, external, and multidisciplinary team for content development.
The primary focus of the Digital Content Manager is to drive execution across the division, prioritizing the alignment of the entire Endoscopy content program with business objectives and delivering exceptional experiences for customers.
Furthermore, the Digital Content Manager plays a critical role as the guardian of quality, ensuring that all content creation, development, and distribution adhere to the content strategy, best practices, and standards of excellence. They will establish and maintain relationships with agency and freelance partners, along with our internal creative talent, to ensure consistent quality and cohesion. This role reports to the Group Manager of Digital Content Strategy.

Your responsibilities will include:
Content Creation:
- Oversee the end-to-end content creation process, ensuring that the selection of creative team members aligns with the strategic goals of each project and provide ongoing creative direction for cohesive content delivery. Content formats encompass copywriting, image selection, photography, videography, social posts, blog posts, long-format pieces, layouts, ads, emails, and more.
- Manage the tools, procedures, and processes necessary for success, such as establishing creative briefs, determining the content review and stakeholder management cadence with project managers, conducting creative kickoffs, facilitating points of collaboration, and briefing creative team members.
- Collaborate with content strategists on select projects, completing creative briefs, customer journeys, and other strategic tasks.
- Proactively engage in contingency planning with project management, creative team members, and strategy partners both before and during the content creation process.
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with Endoscopy key opinion leaders (KOLs) and internal teams. Facilitate regular collaboration and ideation meetings with these key groups and determine the appropriate number of KOLs to work with.
- Collaborate closely with user experience and digital marketing teams to ensure that the content output aligns with the overall strategy and user journey. Strive to deliver a cohesive, consistent, and connected user experience across digital channels while driving toward identified key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Work alongside the Senior Analyst to develop content reporting mechanisms that inform the content strategy. This includes analyzing content engagement, identifying trends, and monitoring changes in user behavior.
External team management:
- Manage a diverse external team, comprising various disciplines, to effectively meet the primary and promotional content creation needs of the team.
- Continuously assess the content requirements and creative skillsets of the campaign and DMC teams on a quarterly basis.
- Determine the optimal balance between retainer agencies/contractors and project-based resources to achieve the desired mix that aligns with our budgetary constraints, turnaround times, and skillset requirements as a team.
- Conduct agency and contractor creative reviews twice a year to proactively gather feedback and facilitate team decision-making processes.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for external agency management of all social media accounts. This includes reviewing editorial and content calendars, channel strategies, social listening efforts, and the social sharing app used by the field selling organization.
Teamwork and leadership:
- Demonstrate thought leadership by sharing knowledge and best practices with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify content opportunities by staying updated on industry trends and maintaining a strong understanding of our customers. Continuously explore innovative approaches to content creation and distribution.
- Adhere to the social media process established by BSC and BSC Endoscopy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications or another relevant field
5+ years of experience in the following areas:
- Content creation and/or content strategy, including managing the creative process. developing and implementing strategic communications plans, leading creative teams, and the measurement/analysis of relevant metrics.
- Developing and distributing content that fulfills business requirements while adhering to channel best practices, specifically on Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Gathering content from subject matter experts and writing/managing global social media content within brand standards.
Preferred Qualifications:

- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong creative mindset and exceptional follow-through skills.
- Excellent visual, oral, and written communication skills for internal audiences.
