BSC Job Description

The Digital Learning Manager within the Global Educare Center of Excellence, is responsible for design training standard structure, identifying best digital training format / channel to meet customer needs and applies instructional design theories and methods to enhance e-learning process. 

This position will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) within each division to determine skills gaps/learning needs and guide teams on best practices for developing high quality e-learning materials as well as evaluating and managing partnerships with external vendors for the content production process. This position is also responsible for the management of the learning platform and will report directly to the Director, Global Educare Center of Excellence, within Global Digital Marketing at Boston Scientific.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Drive LMS adoption and enhancement requirements across six divisions
  • Platform owner for US region medical education learning management system with ability to support configuration, perform testing and troubleshoot issues with tech team.
  • Provides subject matter expertise and training on LMS.
  • Key member in the development of LMS strategy and roadmap.
    • Coordinates and continuously improves LMS admin processes and activities cross-functionally to create the best possible learning experience for the users.
    • Collaborates with internal facing LMS IT Team to generate best practices.
    • Manages the overall course structure and taxonomy in LMS based on specifications from the divisions.
    • Monitors courses for trends and partners with Analytic team for reporting requirements.
    • Drive global collaboration on LMS use cases and content tools.
  1. Collaborate with divisional internal SMEs and/or cross-functional teams to:
  • Serve as expert in online learning to identify best Digital training format / channel for each customer needs.
  • Identify tools and trainings to upskill existing Training team in e-learning design.
  • Support development of digital learning content strategy, e-learning solutions and publication strategies.
  • Guide teams to adapt existing courses for online / blended environment.
  • Applies tested instructional design theories, practice and methods.
  • Work to identify external resources and vendors that specifically meet e-learning needs.
  • Develop training standards and measurement tools to measure performance following each e-training.
  • Identifies solutions and processes for content management.

 

What we’re looking for in you:

  • B.A./B.S. degree in educational technology or instructional design strongly preferred
  • Experience as LMS administrator publishing coursework using E learning standards like SCORM and AICC.
  • 5+ years of managing learning platforms
  • Experience with vendor management as well as working with a diverse group of customers (i.e. physician, clinical, marketing)
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects from start to finish with strong cross-functional stakeholder collaboration.
  • Proven working experience in digital learning course and content development
  • Solid design background (multimedia, UX, video editing, e-learning, SCORM)
  • Solid knowledge of course development software
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Excellent knowledge of e-learning theories and e-instructional design models

  • Requirement to travel 10%
